You're not alone :)
We've been screaming here (I've been screaming) lol. The best information is no information. The best thing to do is to keep waiting.

Yeah been waiting for over 1 month for me lol. Pre order from JB for 10 days then changed to NL on Queen birthday sale.
Not sure what is very close mean. I rang them yesterday and they were pretty clueless. Even rang BrightPoint directly and they were also pretty useless lol. All they told me was "we're waiting for Samsung to send us the stock and the due date is way overdue. The sale manager is talking to Samsung korea to firfilling the shipment but so far we've heard nothing in response. So we have no stock and no ETA."

Lol I don't think you'd get a call from NL anytime soon. They promised to call me if they have any update, so far I received none. I called them up for a whole month and then the manager call me then told me that he'll give me a 16Gb S3 with 16GB SD card to make it 32GB lol. I told him that thanks but what do I do with the 16GB card? I have a 64GB card on my desk right now then I had to explained to him that internal space isn't the same as external space.

Having a 1 bed room house won't be enough to fit 2 more guests, so they can sleep in a motel next door.
But having 3 bed room house will be more than enough to fit 2 more guest and even there is a hotel next door it will be reserved for someone else. Even though the 3bed room house is more expensive but in a long run it will be more spacious.

agreed...at the moment there is a 48GB edition...which is basically a 16GB unit bundled with 32GB memory card to offset the demand for the 32GB? or to replace the 32GB? not sure but it is an original Samsung bundle...this is an obvious sign that there is a demand for units larger than 16GB thus the 48GB bundle...

Consider the LG Optimus 4x guys. I bought a G3 for the custom firmwares available and slight performance gain, but it was incredibly difficult to choose and the LG Optimus is at a far more reasonable price *as few have heard of, less demand*. It has many of the pluses the HTC One X has *also uses same chipset*, although the LG has a removable battery and external sd slot.

[Display]
The display on the S3 is pretty disappointing, knew it wasn't as good as LG's but it does save battery. Not as sharp and colourful (sometimes dull). If you like pixel perfect displays, it might annoy you.

Imperfections on a solid colour are visible. Can have spots and lines appear on a blank lit display, not too happy about this.

[GPU]
There is advantages to having a Tegra chipset, many games only run on that and some have additional eye candy for doing so. You can install Chainfire 3d with the Tegra plugins to try get this, however it doesn't work for many games.

If I wasn't going to root & flash my firmware or install linux on it, I would have chosen the LG. But the support and development is already here for the S3 as nearly everybody seems to want one.

I don't see why you're saying the screen is disappointing. Yes it is not as sharp as the IPS screen but seriously are you using your phone 1" away from your eyes? Imperfections on solid colour? Not sure what you mean but okay, you got the dots and stuff because it was the first batch units.

I don't really care much about Tegra games. Not that I would play much of them anyway. Yes Tegra has some eyes candy but at the same time is not as powerful as Mali400MP and it chewing up your battery much faster. I don't care about eye candy marketing bullcrap.

My suggestion is to sell your S3 and move over to LG so then you can stop complaining about how **it it is. :) And this is not a place to post your experience. You should go to this thread.

You're 1 out of the millions who is complaining about this kind of stuff, where the rest of the world pretty much cool with it. If you're looking for a gaming phone then do not get S3 :) get Tegra devices is highly recommended. If you want a device that will never get any update then go with LG.

Dont take it personal but thats the biggest load of dribble Ive seen today...just today, yesterday something else was worse... but not by much...

I have seen the S3 and One X side by side; which is basically the LG but without the removable battery...it is without a doubt that the AMOLED is a superior screen to the relatively conventional LCD...while on paper it is not as bright as LCD, the absolute infinity contrast of the AMOLED is mind-blowing...Im not only speaking from experience, you will find that most reviews generally favours the AMOLED...at such DPI, pentile or full subpixels makes close to no difference...,but you insist that the LG is better...?

GPU wise, you got to be kidding me...Mali400 is a year old and still wacks Tegra ULP. period. User depending...I dont play much games so the advantage of game range offered through Tegra provides no additional leverage...hate it when people complain and moan about battery life and play games...I mean its a quad core powered device (penta core with LG and HTC) with a tiny battery that fits into your pocket...go try that with your HP laptop...its prob only a dual core i3...

Rooting or not...I believe you shot yourself in the left foot...so you're saying you think that the LG is a better phone but you are going to buy the not as good one because development and demand for the S3 is greater? why is it greater? why is there more support for it? go figure. have a burgerfuel...noms.
