  1. Fire up a VPN (e.g. tunnel bear)
  2. Visit this: https://play.google.com/music/
  3. Download the PC client
  4. Disable the VPN (not needed to upload music)
  5. Enjoy music on your phone (VPN also not needed).

Basically you only need to use a VPN (to get a USA IP) to get to the initial page and accept the agreement and download the software. After that it works perfectly.

And in case you were wondering there are Windows, Mac, and Linux "Music Manager" software:

This doesn't always work. I was asked to verify US residence through google sending a $0 payment to a credit card with a US address. Then it's up to the credit card verification process to either deny the transaction because of the false address or let it pass.

I didn't think it was worth the hassle since i already "fooled" bank when ordering my Nexus 4 a few weeks ago, i don't want to push my luck!

8 & 16gb back in stock on Google Play.

1-2 weeks ship time.

Ordered one this morning via VPN. Bit of an impulse buy, but I know I wont regret it.

I see NZ is still being treated like the tech 3rd world  with the new stock arrival.

I don't get why so many Kiwis think NZ is anything but the tech 3rd world.

With a population of just over 4 million NZ is never, ever going to figure on the global radar it's just simple economics not some conspiracy

But we are.  Even the tech Luddites in Tasmania can get it.  What ever happened to the global economy everyone keeps talking about??

Hi, Nice to know Nexus is back to order Now. Just little enquiry in regards of shipping a Nexus 4 from USA via my friend who is living in DC. I’ve checked custom site and I think I need to pay GST and maybe bio-security fee as well? I’m in a tight budget, has any geeker here actually got a new phone from US without paying any extra to NZ Custom(legally)? Thanks.

If you declare at its true value you have to pay $100 customs so $560 would be its final value

Just a heads up, shipping times appear to be quicker than the 1-2 weeks advertised.

My Nexus 4 just landed at the YouShop depot in Oregon.

Ordered 29th

Shipped 31st

Same for me! Was shocked to see that it only took 16 hours to ship

Its on its way to NZ now (via YouShop). Estimated arrival into nz is the 13 of Feb, which seems a bit long
Anyone had any experience and know how long itll take, roughly?

Meanwhile I ordered on the 29th (US time) and haven't been charged or received any shipping information. Thought I would have heard something by now.

I ordered two of them. One i had UPS tracking all the way to youshop. the other i was given the tracking number when it arrived. Maybe googles emailing system isnt the best...

Youshop took about a day to respond too.

Do you remember how long after ordering you were charged? I'm still yet to be charged so I'm doubtful they would have shipped it yet.

I remember seeing my money leave my account as soon as i bought it

but that was just an authorisation, so not sure when they actually took the money

Youshop is pretty slow to acknowledge that they have the package. It's been 48 hours since UPS is showing that my VFF's were delivered, but nothing is showing up on the youshop site :|
