Is there anyone out there using Telecom XT network with CM10 ROM that is able to tell me if they can receive an MMS ok?  I get this error when it attempts to retrieve an MMS message.  I have the same problem on custom ICS ROM.  Stock ROMs work ok (as does WanamLite which is a customised stock ROM).  It appears to be having trouble while parsing the message.  In the user interface I either get a notification saying download failed or the message just sits in the inbox with a Download button that results in error below when attempting to download again

I have the same problem with CM10, had it on CM9 as well and was trying to sort it out on Friday but no luck.

My Samsung Captivate running CM9 and then 10 also has the same issue.

I thought it could've been the APN settings built into CM but I've played with all sorts of variations of them but no luck so far. Worked perfectly on stock 4.0.3 and 4.0.4, I just flashed back to stock to test and it's fine.

I suspect the problem lies in the CM mms.apk but actually trying to find any info on it hasn't turned up anything.

I thought it was an APN problem to begin with but from the stack trace you can see it is when it is parsing the message it has received.  Since it doesnt seem to be a common problem for others I was trying to work out what was unique.  Are you on XT Network?  If I can find someone with a non-Telecom SIM card I might try putting that in my phone and see if the problem stays or goes.  MMS messages sent to me from other phones fail with the same problem

I'm on XT. I can send MMS fine but just have the issue where clicking the download button in the message, either nothing happens or I get the notification that the message could not be downloaded.

Sounds like the same issue.  I think you will find the same error in your system log.  I cant find anyone with a non-Telecom SIM other than iPhone users that have a microSIM.  I think trying with another network provider is a good check to see if it is carrier-specific.  Other than APN, the carrier I am not sure what else is unique.

Have been using CM9NZ for some time now. Is it possible to flash CM9 official without having to do a full wipe?

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

Go to Apps > All > Google Services Provider > Clear data. That fixed downloading issues with Play store on ICS. It may have a slightly different name on GB.

Could also try reflashing the ROM and clearing cache/dalvik again.

i am about to give this POS away and succumb to apple, where everything just works and i don't waste days doing things that are so tempting to "tweak" but that can't be done

Are you using Wifi or mobile data for internet?

Edit: Don't worry, I see it's working now.

i9100t keyboard issues ICS

I have been having issues when trying to type in the web browsers including the Y!TWorld I use google chrome as my default and that has the same problem, it is fine when typing in the browser address bar, but when trying to type in forms on a web page when you try to type it just dies, and you have to kill off the web browser using task manager and then try again, it usually happens when you go to type the second word after a space. Has anyone else have/had this issue?

I would highly recommend using the SwiftKey keyboard, it's not free but it's worth more than the $5 it costs. It's very accurate, fast and it's word prediction / correction is simply magical.

There's a 30-day trial version you could use to test it out.
