WaxerNZ: Huawei Facebook says memory expandable which would make it dual SIM?
Makes it dual slot, doesn't make it dual SIM. :)
So, it's different from Mate 20 pro? Where you have dual slot that can be used for either a Memory card OR another Sim card?
Sorry, I am confused
Where them PB Tech Preorder deals at? :D

The above photography discussion thread about Huawei's latest "iPhone killer" is titled:
Is this a phone with a camera? Or, a camera with a phone
This discussion is well worth reading IMHO.

DXO has it well out in front, with the p20 pro and the mate 20 pro both equal right behind it. Huawei is making a mockery of Samsung and Apple.

Of course I take synthetic results with a pinch of salt, but from what Ive seen this is an even better Leica setup

Yeah thats usually reserved capability of cameras with IBIS via motors. I do wonder if this is using the bokeh technology as they do not mention the Shutter Speed, which would be minimum 4 seconds here, which I cant see it being possible, so imo it will be a feature in the camera for water and water fals..
The night shot does not say without tripod, so not so impressive, any 1.4u, sensor and sub f2 sensor could shoot equal photos. BUT this new sensor type could explain the ability to allow more light in, replacing RGB with RYB, weird but will try to understand it more indepth but here is the break down.

I think some people are getting a little unrealistic comparing it to a camera though, no way it will take photos or video like a Sony A7r3 with a $1500 wide angle lens.
Luckily some cameras are moving back to being photography focussed and some videography focussed.
If you want amazing cinemaphotography that is almost acceptable at Netflix level for $1700, the BlackMagic pocket 4/3 is 100% video focussed.

Used the Phone Clone app to copy content from my Mate 20 Pro to the P30 Pro. IT worked well - although very few apps didn't copy accross. Most apps were installed and some even kept login details.
Information from the email they sent to use today:

People are saying this wahttps://www.engadget.com/2018/08/20/huawei-caught-passing-off-dlsr-pictures-as-phone-camera-samples/s shot with the p30. If you listen to the guy after the video it sure sounds like it. If so, a new camera phone goes to the top of the heap, insane.

I'd take with a grain of salt - it could be more of the same deceptive marketing of old. link here
Confirmation that video was shot with a p30 pro :-)

Whilst its not a BlackMagic Pocket 4k camera, it should compete with most 1" 4k videos.
Sorrt for the comments but learning a lot quickly here from good sources, aiwaiting GSMs thoughts. But here is what Techradar have to say with an early mini review.
Im impressed by the P30 going back to 16:9 with a standard 1080p oled screen. Provided the screens arent curved more than the p20 I cant see any light bleed issues occuring.
The other standout to me is the gen 4 fast charge INCLUDED in the box, most make you buy one and give you gen 2, so both phones charge at 70% in 30 mins, WOW. The p30 pro being wireless charge capable, for me thats a meh when I can fast charge enough for a whole days use in my lunch break lol.

This explains how the Sensor replaces the RYB (instead of RGB) and recovers to allow a LOT more light in along with the f1.6 lens. It essentially uses an algorithm to put the green back in, flippin awesome technology. It also shows the angles and zooms well and when the hybrid zoom from x5x to 10x quicks in.
