Exchange rate puts them about NZ$150 more than Clove. Clove was about $80 to ship

Just placed an order with Clove. Finally.

dpw: That looks like a good idea actually. I forgot to check what specs are on the new charger - will do that tomorrow since it's sitting on my desk at work. However, it should be somewhere around 200 mA or so - as long as they have the same input/output voltage and AC frequency (usually copes with a 50 - 60 Hz range).

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong :o)

I forgot to check last night as I worked late - did you (or anyone else!) check the numbers?  I'm always keen to save some pingas!

Thought I post here if anyone misses it in the Tips thread - full root for the Desire has been achieved. Apparently instructions for how should be available tomorrow. Great news, since that means some of the limitations of the device (like apps to SD, WiFi tether) will now be ameliorated, in addition to enabling some excellent mods and the possibility of custom ROMs.

Mine arrived this morning :D. On charge right now. Took a week after leaving Clove, never even had to pay GST!

I'm very happy with Clove after they offered to send a second phone in good faith, when the first tracking number was lost. If anyone is still on the fence, definitely a trustworthy company.

Sounds very promising! I am definitely looking seriously into buying this phone.

Guys, if I buy the HTC that is Telstra compliant, it should work on Telecom XT, right?

Interesting...nearly everything? Just out of curiosity, what else would you like the phone to do?
