can sumone help me out here all i did was download a app ( just finds the closer tower/ reception etc ) .sum how its stuff ed up all my apn setting i cannot connect to telecom again (emergency mode) in find networks ,only find's vodafone

i have put all the apn setting in again still does not connect , cannot find telecom network ?

i have put it in service mode

1 debug screen
2 phone control
3.network control
4.band selection

when i click on wcdma band the wcdma 900 band has been selected , when i put on option 6. 850 says" menu not exist press back key current command is 187226 "

i got it sorted that horrible app had changed the setting

I tried to flash my phone with darkys 9.2 rom using the odin way.

First time flashing it... after following the instructions properly, did everything like it described.

odin message:
Added!!
Odin v.3 engine (ID:8)..
File analysis..
Enter CS for MD5..
Check MD5.. Do not unplug the cable..
Please wait..
Checking MD5 finished Sucessfully..
Leave CS..
SetupConnection..
Initialzation..
Set PIT file..
DO NOT TURN OFF TARGET

it just stuck there and didnt do anything for about 45mins... someone had the same problem on there and they fixed it by taking the battery out and putting the battery back in, I tried that and now when i go into recovery mood.... my phone shows phone with dotted lines then pc icon in the between those icons its showing triangle with the error symbol.... does that mean my phone is fully bricked? any solution with help thanks...

You should just be able to take the battery out and go back into download mode (vol down/power/home). This happens to me all the time, odin will fail the first flash every single time. After removing the battery and trying again it works, man I hate odin.

You should just be able to take the battery out and go back into download mode (vol down/power/home). This happens to me all the time, odin will fail the first flash every single time. After removing the battery and trying again it works, man I hate odin.

hey got into download mode took the battery out and press vol down power and home... which is weird was doing the same thing for last hour or so... maybe didnt had the battery out for a long time...

I'm running the Doc rom in my signature but that has been replaced with JS5(Too lazy to upgrade), I'm using the TNZ CSC for Telecom XT and Speedmod(K13A). Seems to work all fine and dandy, I'm sure the newer Doc Rom (JS5) would provide better performance and would do fine, CSC is really dependant on whether your Voda or XT(VNZ or TNZ). I think Speedmod is more aimed at stability compared to Voodoo but have only ever used Speedmod, and it is recommended.

While we are on the topic of CSCs I have a wee problem.

After flashing Darky's 9.2 last week have just realised I am not able to receive calls (I am on XT). The phone rings once and then the reception bars drop to nothing and the phone loses service. Once the call has been cut off, it all comes back up again.

I can make calls, send / receive text messages and get mobile data and connect to wireless. Phone suggests it is on the telecom network.

My CSC is JP9 (XEE).....before flashing it used to say (TNZ). I note some people have a CSC as XEU, as opposed to VNZ or TNZ, so thought having XEE wouldn't be an issue....and it might not be, but I am miffed as to why I can't receive calls.

Would appreciate any thoughts you good folks might have as to what might be causing this problem, or any suggestions how it fix it.

Have you checked your IMEI to make sure it's intact? It will be printed on a sticker behind the battery somewhere - you can check it on the phone by dialing *#06#. Make sure they match.

Hi there

I have been trying to root my Galaxy S with z4root for about an hour now with no luck..

I do everything step by step and when I run the root it force closes constantly..

any ideas??

I really want to root my SGS :(

i am on darky's rom 9.2 and on xt no problems here , did u leave darky app configurator too default setting or u played with the modem options ?

by the way won me 120mb of data for 2 weeks (wish it was for 4 weeks lol) when i toped up $20 on xt :) ....
now that i wiped the ph, lost my t world app even thou i backed up my apps didn't come back or will have to ask telecom for the app again ???

Yeah I had the same problem with z4root trying to use it on Vodafone Froyo - use SuperOneClick. . . it's fool-proof, as it uses an ADB exploit in Android.

im also on darky's v9.2, on XT. i dont think your CSC has anything to do with your phone dropping calls - the CSC is just the region and package option (default apps) for your phone.

more important would be, what modem are you on? (settings - about phone - baseband version)

i have found that the UGJL2 modem has the best performance and battery performance, followed by JPA. what is your phone using?
