stuartgr: Well three days in and I am loving this phone...It can do nearly everything!  And with full root access, it should only get better!

Interesting...nearly everything? Just out of curiosity, what else would you like the phone to do?

....wished the camera was better with xenon flash and mini HDMI output ala Nokia N8... but me not complaining... yet...

Did everyone else have to select from the 3 'security procedures' after placing their orders with Clove? If so, which method did you opt for?

Sent them scanned copy of my drivers license and an electricity bill.

heavenly_wild: Sounds very promising! I am definitely looking seriously into buying this phone.

Guys, if I buy the HTC that is Telstra compliant, it should work on Telecom XT, right?

.... theres a problems with the gps for the NextG HTC Desire which is the Telstra compliant equilvalent for Telecom XT network at the mo... a fix is coming but not here yet...

Is it a software issue?  If I purchase one from Asia that's only Telstra compliant (rather than from Telstra), would that ensure it should work on XT straight away?  Thanks in advance.

Payment processed. Notification received that it will be shipped 'tomorrow', being tonight our time!

Not too shabby at all.

Kia ora all.

I have Nokia BH-503 Bluetooth Stereo Headset paired very nicely and simply with the HTC Desire.

Anybody noticed a wicked performance drop if joined to Bluetooth headset?  everything is less responsive when the tunes are rocking over them.  Instead of rebooting when i'd finished with the bluetooth and turned it off, I left it overnight but still felt the phone was running a little less than best in the am.

Thoughts?

...sorry ...don't know about this...only know what I've read on google and it seems that a ROM update is needed to fix the gps issue for the NextG Telstra HTC Desire form Aussie.
