New OTA yesterday installed. No problems with it. Upgraded for the new buyer who has been super generous with delayed shipping.

I've got one problem, the scrolling text on my lock screen now overlaps the date, which is a little irritating.

Can anyone tell me if they had to pay customs tax on their purchase from the Oneplus website using Youshop as the mail forwarder?

If it falls over the $400 NZ then yes. When the exchange rate was a lot better then it was not so much of a problem as it would fall under the $400 amount, however now you will be hit.

If you do it via youshop they will be asked the price you paid for it.

That is what I did and got mine from PBtech, this also gave the cover under the CGA, however you do need to keep in mind that most of the ones being sold by shops are the Chinese version of hardware and had color OS installed.
It looks like retailers or their suppliers and flashing them with cyanogen and selling them.

Not much difference between the 2, the hardware for LTE bands are different however, they will work in NZ fine however not on "some" LTE/3G networks over in the US/canada

Just bought a Oneplus One the other day to replace my dead/dying HTC One. So I've gone from a One, to a One, just different manufacturers!

Anyway, I read that Oneplus have said that both CM12 AND their in-house Oxygen OS, will be available before the end of the month. Can anyone tell me what the process is like with updates on the Oneplus? Do they push out OTAs to everyone at the same time, or are they staged by region, etc.?

Also, does anyone here have any info on the changes in CM12? I presume there will be at least one owner here that is running on the nightlies? And what about Oxygen - has anyone seen any details about it? Screenies, feature lists, or anything?

For CM12S it will be pushed OTA

For Oxygen it will mean you need to reset the phone and load the rom (a bit like doing a custom rom).

One would hope that one+ writes a setup program to do it all for you (load the oxygen OS) once you plug your phone into a computer (i don't think they will however).

CM12 is based off 5.0.2 so you will get the standard stuff in Lollipop plus the extra's that Cyanogenmod put in (LED settings, quite times etc).

Updates are rolled out over a 2 / 3 week time frame (well mine use to update in the 2nd week after they pushed a OTA).

I had mine down to the day when I would see an update (1 week + 3 days starting after 12pm NZT).

Does anyone have any USB charging cable recommendations? The reason I ask is because I brought a bunch of generic USB2 cables from Ascent as the One Plus cable is pretty short but the charging time is about 10 times slower! The One Plus cable will fully charge in about 2 hours where as the generics charge in about 4-5 hours.

I was having a read on the google and found that there are actual cables for charging as opposed to just data but trying to find these to buy seems to be tricky, anyone found any good length usb cables for charging their One Plus with a good charge time?

Yes, I found that a standard cable will NOT charge my oneplus at all! I sourced an alternative charger (the Oneplus charger I received has a US plug). Rather than use an adapter I now have a samsung adaptive fast charger. However that also has a short cable, so I'd love to know if anyone has a source of decent length (I'd say minimum of 1.5m) fast charge capable cables...
