Foo:
sqlpro: try click free app, it's no different from SanDisk but definitely faster. this morning I backed up around 1Gb in less than 1 hour.
if am not mistaken you must root to get app data as well

Thanks for that - can you provide a link to that app, is it called "Click Free" or just "Click"?

the one i use click free mobile backup and it looks like they also have separate app for just applications

It makes me laugh when you read tech articles like one I read this morning talking about in the next 3-5 years we will have devices which read your moods etc etc yet right now in 2013 we have devices that brick themselves, drop calls, support video only if its the 'right kind' of video format etc.

Seems we are so quickly onto the next thing that nothing is ever done to perfection.

My mate had this "sudden death" issue, where it just wouldn't boot. Sent it in (I believe his was brought from parallel imported on Symonds) and got it back a few days later where they had flashed the phone only. Had further problems with getting NO reception at all, sent it back in and this time they replaced the mainboard. Works good now, and they also gave him 4.1.2!

Hmm I have been having weird issues occasionally with the phone screen going black and not being able to wake it. It's on, but seems like it has high cpu with the screen off, which makes it very slow to react.

Have you done the emmc test from the playstore to see if you have an affected phone?

So we go away for a week and both S3's are stone dead within 24 hours of each other (2degrees 16GB, stock firmware). One was plugged in and working at 4am but dead by 8, the other one gave a buzz this morning and I found it some time later stuck on the boot screen.

I jumped on here to see if anyone else had seen this, only to find out it's a known problem. A heads-up from the phone company would have been nice. Oh well, off to the mall we go, I guess. I've tried everything I know but both phones are completely unresponsive :(

In the end I went with the Perseus kernel and it hasn't missed a beat since.

I used Mobile ODIN Lite to do the flashing for the first time and it was easy peasy.

I was impressed enough to go back and buy the pro version, thought I may as well shout CF a beer or a jenever or whatever it is they drink in the Netherlands.

have you flashed a new recovery as well, I'm on Perseus and also philz touch recovery, flashing kernel doesn't fix the issue as you need the new recovery as well
