I know it's incorporated into my preferred Captivate ROM Serendipity 6.3 (JS7). From my experience before fugu, the screen sensitivity and navigation around the OS is smoother than in previous ROMs without fugu. Could be entirely placebo lol but it appears that way anyway. But depending on the kernel as well, it can have an effect as to how much more beneficial the tweaks are.

Without looking back at the thread, I cant remember if the tweaks are in the ROM or in the kernel. I tried another kernel and the difference was substantial. The smoothness was lost immediately and I couldnt wait to change back kernels! The funny thing, is this "horrible" experience was what i would have experienced on previous non fugu ROMs and thought this was the beesknees! I havent done any of the usual benchmarks but I can certainly say that there the experience around the whole ROM is much smoother.

Using it for another half an hour I'm starting to see its speed playing a little Angry Birds Rio, running only a system lagfix(ext4), flicking down my artists in the music player straight after opening there is nearly no stuttering while loading the album art. I think its a keeper

Hey no problems :-) You've come a long way on here dude! As have most people who have come into this thread at one point or another. I'm glad it's still going, and it's relevance will still be up there for some time I expect. I don't often post replies but still read pretty much everything as it will be useful still. I do have experience with the fugu tweaks, hence my comments :-)

I tried FuguTweaks but eventually switched back after it didn't have noticeable benefits and was unstable.

Does anyone know of a notification app that you can set to make your phone beep/ring/vibrate continuously for a period of time when you receive a new sms/mms or a missed call notification/voice mail etc?

noLED seems to work consistently, is customisable for any kind of notification and best of all, it's free.

Cheers Artoo/Lokhor - it's actually for a vanilla android install, so anything requiring Root, or a custom kernel won't fly. Have seen NoLED around the traps but haven't ever looked into it. Does it require SU privileges etc?

I don't believe it does. Notifications are part of the Android public api's so there's no reason for root as far as I can see. But then my SGS has always been rooted, so...

Just flash a Doc Rom with Speedmod K13D kernel - they won't know the difference (apart from the extra speed)

i wish i was that popular. i never get messaged by anyone to need any special notification. (i got "old" and lost my "friends")
