ryan1019: Very thin device just don't drop it in your coffee while playing :-)

Similar size to my E71 so hopefully won't be a problem!

Might need the coffee to get through a couple of days without sleep as I set it up ;-)

Been out to FEDEX and picked up my Desire.

Must say I'm a little disappointed. At no time did Clove tell me the accessories I'd ordered were on back order. I had suspected as much by the NZ$ charged to my CC but no confirmation until the package arrived. Even now when you login to Clove it shows the complete order and no indication of stock problems/back orders.

This won't stop me ordering from them again, but I'll be providing feedback.

Anyhoo! At least the main item is here! Charging now.

Look at the bright side, you wont have to pay GST on the accessories when they turn up now.

Firstly, great to hear it's arrived, welcome to the 'club' Smile  Clove I think did a pretty good job with obviously a lot of orders from many places, supply logistics and a volcanoe.  I felt they did a pretty good job keeping us updated though the odd error probably occured.  I'm sure Clove will be happy to hear from you so they can try and correct whatever went wrong in future.    Anyhow enjoy your new toy, see you on the advice/tips thread.

There is that. Although if they try to sting for freight again that will outweigh any GST. Will wait and see what they say.

I think they're doing quite well dispatching orders in a timely fashion. No complaints there at all! Received it in less time than it takes some of the local distributors I deal with. Top marks there.

Well this is going to take some time to get used to! Cool device. Nothing like the great E71 that I've been using for well over a year now but stacking up to be at least as good. Love it!

Cheers!

How much are you guys being charged on your credit cards compared to what you have paid for the (phone+shipping)?

Is it a straight 12.5% of (phone+shipping) or are there added costs from FEDEX or customs?

I paid $103, but it will be a lot less than that now as the NZ$ vs GBP is much stronger. There are no extra costs from FEDEX, they are all inclusive once you pay for the freight.
