Rang Motorola today   0508 66867652
the NZ number listed on there motorola.com.au  web site

Asked about the 16GB Moto G, told to go to my cell phone shop, he them listed all the Ozzy shops that sell the phone, I asked when we will be getting the 16GB model and the Flip cases, he did know a thing, seems like it was the US I was talking to.

They advertise all this stuff on the Ozzy site but you just cant buy them.

No one is listing the Flip cases at all..

This Pone is getting a bit of a total joke to me as no support or stock.

I see that Warehouse Stationary is now listing it.

shk292: Anyone know if the harvey norman ones are dual SIM?  I quite like the idea of dual SIM, it means you can keep your NZ number available when travelling but get a local SIM for data and calling

Purchased one today from Harevys, was dual Sim.

I think all the NZ retail ones are dual SIM.. only the parallel imported ones may not be.

I see that they list it as "Skinny Mobile"   No mention of it being locked.  Why don't they just list it as a cell phone rather than associating it with a carrier.

I upgraded my wifes Moto G on Wednesday. All was well and the battery life seems way better than it was on 4.3..

If it had had a 5" screen I would have kept it for myself..

I picked one up from the Upper Hutt shop. It's not locked but does come with a Skinny SIM card.

MOTOROLA

What a utter stuff up

For a company trying to get back in the fold they totally stuffed up.

They had this great new phone but the marketing was dismal.

Have a look at the Whirlpool forum, they complained to Motorola why no 16GB model when its advertised on the Ozzy web site, they then removed the reference to the 16GB model..

Motorola make 4 Models of the Moto G  but why only one model sold here and Ozz, do we really need the dual sim model here, we should have a choice.

They also make a range of accessories none are sold here or Ozz..

Sorry Motorola you have stuffed up big time.

What some big companies need to realise that sometimes people want their products and are willing to pay for them. They need to eliminate barriers so that their customers can give them money.

Cannot agree more. Stupid provider sim locks and location based versions. I had to jump through hoops to get my 32 GB unlocked customised Moto X for it's original price when the promotion was on. Same goes for the Nexus phones.

For those wondering: JB HiFi stock the dual sim version, with the flip cover (black or white)

Got TheMan his new phone at Albany mall store on Monday $289. Not locked to any one carrier

<- don't ask me where I am - I haven't a clue: its a tech thing ;)
Housewife computerer: not particularly great at either.
And don't take me too seriously.

The Moto G was never locked apart from the Verizon one which would be useless here anyway..

It now seems that you cant access Motorola.com

You just get linked the the Ozz web site.

If you need to, so that you can see all the accessories than can be ordered from Amazon

use this http://www.expatshield.com/ then you can access the US web site..

The slim power pack 2000 looks like its a nice option..
