No, that didn't help either. I tried logging into my Gmail account in my browser and sent myself a message. The message immediately popped up in my Thunderbird and on my phone. I read and deleted the message and it immediately vanished from my Thunderbird and phone. Then I retried the test and this time Thunderbird acted the same way but my phone didn't update when I deleted the message.

Nah I can't be bothered going down that route. It's a minor inconvenience, that's all. Probably get fixed in the next update (if indeed it's a firmware issue). But thanks for your help!

Can FAT32 recognize a 64GB Card? Its just that I was under the impression that FAT32 can only r/w up to a maximum of 32GB?

It can. And you can format 500GB or 1TB to FAT32 if you want to. Fat32 restrictions only applied to standard Windows format procedure. But if you use Linux, Mac or third party tool then you can format to almost anything you'd like.
The restriction against Fat32 is the maximum file size on single file (4GB).

FAT32 is just a format and it creates header index table of the memory and computer will read for this identification before recognizing it as readable just like NTFS, ext.. Etc. FAT32 is not 32GB but 32bits which is why it has a limit of 4GB maximum file size just like your 32bits Windows only support 4GB or 3.82GB RAM by the system.

Thanks Integer for clarifying this for me.

On another note, my S3 16GB purchased in June has never missed a beat and has been an awesome phone.

I was always on the OTA updates until I heard about SDS in Dec, and since then, I've flashed pretty much all the stock official ROMs. No custom stuff yet but will do some day.
Currently on the UK EMB5 and it has definitely been the smoothest for me.

Installed Samsung Official Leaked 4.2.1 ROM yesterday after reading that reputable sources have tested it fully and find it very usable (I think might have been sammobile or androidcentral).

I was coming from Wanamlite, and tried upgrading without a full wipe first, but that left SMS broken as there is some change in the SMS database as far as I can see..

After a full wipe (Titanium backup to external SD card first), it works perfectly, restored all the apps and its very fast, more memory available (over 850mb), the camera takes pictures when you say Smile!

Really impressed, will post if I have any issues, but haven't had any so far after fairly intensive use.

I received my GSIII back last night from the repairer and the repair said they changed the mother board over and after setting it up again it looks to be working perfectly again.

Must of done some proper testing this time as it was away for just under 2 weeks instead of the 1 week last time.

Been a while since I posted on here.

Starting to get bored with my phone so looking at running a custom rom. Have been running stock 2degrees since I got it, with 4.1.2 being the latest.

Any recommendations on what I should go to? Want it to be fast and stable.

Wanam is normally great, though the last update had problem with exFAT formatted cards, a fix is now available and I have no complaints with it. Battery life is normal usage for me results in 40% usage a day, so a little over 2 days battery off a single charge if I don't play games.

@defragger plenty to choose from at moment so depends on what you prefer. Omega is very popular but tends to be a bit glitzy for me now and like the Fast food version of a rom. CM is also popular but you lose a bit of the Samsung software but some prefer that.

I tried Paranoid Android over the weekend it ran ok and had some nice touches but latest version had some issues and was a bit laggy.

I'm currently on Wanam 4.1.2 as the leaked 4.2 has a couple of issues. Battery life is good as usual and with Jkay's mods very presentable.

Crdroid is good as well and has a lot of options when installing although this means download is over 1 gb but very customisable. The Dev doesn't have as much time to spend on it now but its worth a look.
