Brendan:
I was using the current one, 2.whatever. But it wasn't MIUI that did it; it happened while I was flashing a stock froyo. MIUI wasn't even ON the phone yet, hadn't got to that part.
My point was that ODIN can just go wrong. Doesn't seem to be enough verification of the state of the phone and the flashability of the updates.
lofreq: id recommend waiting for a JVO version to hit XDA - however if you cant wait ive only heard good things about Juwes Rom, im running SimplyHoney and its good so far (JVH build and custom kernel) or you could just run a stock vanilla JVH clean and fast build with bloatware stripped and just the essentials? full guide here

Yeah I know what you meant when it happened(flashing EzBase or another froyo rom). The only time I've used a pit file is when flashing that EzBase rom yesterday and quite frankly I don't intend to again. I've had odin 1.7 konk out in the middle of flashing a kernel, and the file turned out to be the problem. If it checked the flashability it would be a lot better. If you downloaded the "Ez Odin" for the Ezrom it checks the md5's (obviously knows the md5's for the Ezbase rom's)
lokhor: Strangely I've never had to use a pit file when flashing with Odin, not even when flashing the JVH stock rom.

Hey lofreq, I see you are running Simply Honey 3.5 now.
Given the problems I had with the SGSII email app in 3.3, I thought I would upgrade to 3.5 - is it my imagination, or has he removed the SGSII email app from this version.
Either that, or I can't seem to get it installed somehow ?
lokhor: So try 512 pit with JVH stock?

Yes, that's what I'd do.
Use Odin 1.7 or higher though, earlier versions are buggy. Take a look at the newest EZbase.
JVO has just been released, apparently it's official from samsung. Download the full thing (including bootloaders etc, you'll need that), and read up on it first.

nofam: Is anyone else having LauncherPro issues since the last update? Whenever I reboot, LP hangs, and all my widgets give me the "Problem loading widget" error box?
Very annoying!
