These ones ??
Moto G shell case Kind of expensive.  These are the same ones that are shipped with the local ones  on purchase except here they are in Black or White.  Great shell case though.  My wife loves her Moto G..

Moto G XT1032 high Battery drain

We have 2 phones both with the latest System software, No WiFi and Location setting on, display shuts down with a magnetic case.

Both have the same App's my wife phone has 4 added app's, mine has the same app's plus more.

My wife's phone was draining the battery very fast 50% at idle in 12 hours.

Checking the battery drain was showing System use of 50% and Keep awake of over 12 hours, Plus NO Included Packages Showing.

 My phone was OK.

So ended up removing the 4 added App's, Forced Stop on all app's that I did think that where being used, turned off the Location setting and re powered the phone, after some 10 min's the phone was back to normal System use of 4% and now showing Included Packages.

Its still OK after 2 days, so what was going on, have since added the 4 app's and still OK.

The 4 Added app's are 1Weather, ES File Explorer, Alert Me and Tunein Radio all added from Google.

Location services are one of the biggest battery killers, I keep them off unless required on my S4 as well.

My Phone had it on with No affects at all.

There other thing to think about was this.

Plus NO Included Packages Showing.

This gets shown by Settings/Battery/Android System, its a list at the bottom with the heading  Included Packages

I think the System just got stuffed up..

Location services battery drain doesn't affect every device, but is with a shot if battery life is poor.

The other thing to check is that under wifi advanced you don't have the scan even when wifi off option.

Google Now is a bit of a culprit with battery hogging as well.

I found Google Now and leaving location services enabled used to drain my battery while my phone was in my pocket so now I just leave them disable and my battery life is a good bit better.

Hey all,

Looking at picking up a Moto G purely for the dual Sim capability. I'll be coming from a Nexus 4 so I guess its somewhat a small performance downgrade. I'm not a power user but going to half the ram the N4 has is a bit of a concern.

Has anyone done anything similar?

Also, is JBHiFi still the cheapest bricks & mortar store to get the 8gb version?

if it makes you feel better I have noticed no issues using my wife's vs a Nexus 7.

I am not a power user, but general use, internet, hangouts etc are the same performance wise.

Believe JB is cheapest still.

I use location services and the phone runs for 6 days. It gets little use though , as it is just for my child who just started intermediate in case he wants to do something after school and will be late home.

I just noticed today that Warehouse Stationery is selling the Moto G for $254 (down from $299) until 30/3/14.

Its the dual sim version. No flip cover, comes with cyan and pink covers iirc, and a skinny sim in the box. The skinny sim will give you a free $16 combo if you port your number with 1.5gb of data which is neat.

And the warehouse stationery we picked it up from said "30% off all phones" and had obviously forgot to add special terms. So they gave it to us for $209 instead of the $254 ticket price. Win.
