Found this website too: http://consumer.huawei.com/nz/support/warranty-query/index.htm

Put in your serial number and it tells you when your warranty is valid to. Mine is telling me it has a 2 year warranty, however I thought it was only 1 year.

Cool find. Mine says until 21/1/2018

Hmm mine also says that exact date...what are the odds? Or could the website be borked.

An earlier post of yours sayd you bought it in Nov 2015. I think that was the launch date because I'm pretty sure I bought mine in Nov also, except from Warehouse Stationary

Brought mine off the Google Store, apparently not covered by Huawai NZ, would have been good to know that at the time of purchase

Yes I did buy in Nov 2015 so theoretically the 2 year warranty should then be until Nov 2017, and not 2018 like the website advises.

Do you have issues with your phone? I've heard Google is much better at dealing with the warranty issues.

No, haven't experienced any of the issues being talked about here.....dealt with Google when I brought the phone as case didn't arrive. They refunded straight away....case turned up a week later so can't fault them.

Product Model:  Nexus 6P 64GB(H1512)

Warranty:  Your device warranty is till  2018-01-21 in New Zealand.

Could the date be the same as others because all of the 2Degrees special phones were registered on the same date?

Okay, so I called Fonefix on 0800 021 222 and they advised that the bootlooping and battery shut off is a known fault and they are dealing with more frequent issues of this nature.

They advised to take the phone with proof of purchase and original contents to nearest 2Degrees store and should have the phone back in 3-5 working days. They say its a straight mainboard swapout and you should back your phone up first.

Hopefully this helps someone else.

EDIT: they confirmed 2 year warranty from 2Degrees.

Good news. If you're in Auckland, you might also try dropping your phone off directly at Fonefix in Greenlane. When I had a problem with my Nexus 5, they were able to deal with the whole warranty claim for me and they had it fixed in a couple of days rather than the couple of weeks that Warehouse Stationary told me it would take. They were excellent to deal with. Not sure if Huawei will let them deal with it the same way LG did, but it's probably worth a try.

I've contacted Huawei support re the warranty for my 6P that was bought from launch.

"Thank you for contacting Huawei.

Please do be advised that the warranty will be considered for 12 months from the original date of purchase stated on the proof of purchase.

Hope this helps."

Went into store. They confirmed there is 2 year warranty from date of purchase. The store staff advised there is currently a wait on Huawei parts.

Have they tried to claim a warranty for you?

I was initially also told by a staff it is 2 year warranty.

But when she tried to claim the warranty and enter into the system, their system wouldn't allow that, and then they checked with some other staff and end up confirmed it is a 1 year only for the phone that were bought at launch date.

I later on got confirmed again by Huawei directly too.

It would be really good if you can claim the warranty as I have a dead 6P on my desk now :(
