Just fresh out of my mailbox... This is the HTC One retail box from Telecom (yes, with a handset inside). The shape reminds me of a Mac Mini, the size is not much different:

Ok from what I can tell the hardware supports LTE but is disabled in radio.

FWIW I was talking to a Telecom Business consultant this morning, and asked him if it was 4G compatible... he went away to check with their "mobile expert" and came back and said that it was.

Good news.   Telecom have just now confirmed to me that the HTC One will be 4G capable and compatible with their proposed network but will be disabled initially until the service goes live.

By the way I have been reading that Sprint stores are charging $50US to replace the battery - there is a special machine that can separate the two sections apparently so while you will not be repairing it yourself, $80nz or there abouts is stuff all to replace the battery down the line.

Given part of my job is repairing phones, tablets and laptops I am crying a little inside - but its not the end of the world and while it results in a 1/10 ifixit, its not an end of the world thing.

OK, another question. If the Telecom version is 4G compatible... Will I be able to use my Vodafone sim and the 4G turns on????

It is probably disabled for any network - at least that's what happened with the Nokia Lumia 920 which is LTE compatible but the Telecom version comes with it disabled until their service is available.
