Hi all, I'm planning to go the Tunnelbear/YouShop route like some of you are as well it seems, but I just checked the NZ customs website and it seems that a $350USD phone attracts over $100NZD of GST and customs fees, and added to the shipping it seems this may not be much cheaper than an NZ bought phone which would presumably have LTE band 3. Thoughts? Who's planning to buy overseas or NZ?

Be aware the D820 (I assume this is the US google play store version) Nexus 5 version doesn't do any of the NZ carrier LTE bands!
You'll need to wait for the D821/Rest of the world version that does LTE bands 3/7.
See http://www.anandtech.com/show/7471/google-announces-the-nexus-5 for details!

It should do 850/900/2100Mhz 3G, yeah. (I think 900mhz is band 8)

Cheers for that, i was thinking of getting one but as LTE won't work here on this model i will just wait for it to get released in NZ (hoping it will like the nexus 4 was).
Even if the price is a bit more.

Sigh, no luck with the Hola addon for Firefox. Fortunately I'm going to the US next week… guess what I'll be doing when I'm there :)

Edit: Argh, no 4G with the US version!
