A user on the OnePlus forums has been saying that Parallel Imported are taking pre-orders for the 128GB version for $1072, interestingly though Parallel Imported have told him it's due within a week.

https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/oneplus-6-in-new-zealand.835293/

It looks as well like DickSmith still don't include GST and this gets added once it his customs so anyone thinking of buying from them will also need to factor that into their price as well.

Use bexetech at your own risk, seem to be all horror stories with them.

Watched a video from Linus tech tips who went to the OnePlus factory to watch how the 6 is manufactured, the QC looked top notch! Also he showed that the bottom of the phone had similar water resistance to other flagships and has been since the 5 iirc

Hi...I am the user from Oneplus forums who has finally decided to go with Paralle Imported. Got one to pre order for 1072 NZD with a 20% deposit and rest on four installments with Oxipay. So..all in all.. would cost me 5 fortnightly payments of 214 NZDs...which suits me well than any other option. Also ofcourse with the NZ adapter and 1 year warranty. Got good assurance from the shop person who himself has been using Oneplus 5t. So..yeah...waiting for my package now...Have also inquired about the cases and other accessories

Where do you place the pre order? I can't find anything on their site

I just called them up...they told me they are taking pre orders. You can just visit any of their stores. I preferred the one at Westgate, Auckland.

Not sure on that. I imagine it will just be whats in the box along with a US(?) --> NZ adapter. No hassel with that, currently have a Xiaomi with a US charger and an adaptor

There is no specific NZ version of the dash charger. However, they will provide the adapter for NZ use that would support dash charging. I bought Oneplus 3t from Pbtech and that's what they did as well when it came here..

Yes there is, its a vooc charger from jbhifi

Vooc is what Oppo call it, Dash (or now fast charger) is what oneplus calls it.  Both are the same, oneplus license the tech from oppo

https://www.jbhifi.co.nz/phones/all-phones/oppo/oppo-vooc-flash-charge-mini-adaptor/331491/

You need to still use your oneplus cable however as Oppo are still on micro USB and not USB C.

Ok...that seems like an option. What I meant to say was that they supply the dash brick with an US to NZ converter plug which would support dash charging. I personally am ok with that..however if carrying that around is a hassle then yes..this seems viable

Is there even a midnight black 64GB oneplus 6 doesn't even look to be an option on oneplus.com can only see mirror black in 64GB

also at that price you may as well pay $73 more and get the 128GB SSD 8GB RAM version

Again...it would be awesome to find deals under a grand. What's also important though is the reliability of the supplier. I think having atleast an year of NZ warranty is worth a few more bucks than just getting the device. But that's just me personally....anyone is welcome to go for any supplier they seem fit. I will recommend one which is legit and trustworthy. Also..I could have gone with getting the device from US through Youshop and then getting it here...which would have costed me around 1100 including custom duties and gst. The reason I preferred Parallel Imported was also because of NZ consumer warranty.
