jords12: What's the warranty situation with ordering from Clove? Have to ship it back to them i suppose.
Giggs: If I remember rightly from one of the early Desire threads, those who chose the Royal Mail delivery option when purchasing from Clove seemed to avoid GST more often that not while those who took the courier option all got hit for it.
teihoata: yeah i went for the airsure option. dhl always hunted down the gst apparently
Linuxluver:euanandrews: Admitivley, video calling has never really taken off, as it requires both users to have 3G video calling enabled mobiles, and the mobile networks charge ridiculous amounts, hobbling its takeup, so its a moot point anyway.
I got everyone in the house 3G-capable phones that could do video-calling and we used it exactly two times. The three women in my family thought the video cameras weren't flattering enough and simply refused to use video-calling. Plus it was "too geeky". They prefer texting so they can be busy doing other things and respond in convenient moments. Video calling requires a commitment of attention and presence they found onerous.
Since then, 3G video calling hasn't even been on my list. No one who has it WANTS to use it.
Cost had nothing to do with it as video-calling in our Vodafone "Family" group is free and unlimited.

blingjug: I am going to look @ clove, but i was intending on getting my HTC Desire HD from mobicity, australian warranty etc.
jords12:Greekiwi: What do you guys reckon the chances of the Desire Z being compatible with XT?
It supports 850, 900, 1900, and 2100 mhz frequencies, although it seems it doesn't do umts on 850mhz.
