fool: I just bought a Nexus 5 from 2 Degrees at St Lukes. They had about 6 in stock.
coolcat21: Did you use HDR+ for this ? or just auto with no mode, or scene mode ?
Also , does anyone know if the OIS is on all the time or just on Action mode ? Seems like the cam has trouble focusing sometimes.
MACnut: Settings -> More -> Mobile Networks -> Network Mode -> Set to 4G
coolcat21: Does anyone know if the camera lens on the back is made from gorilla glass ?
I really don't want to use a case, it feels disgusting.
But at the same time I dont' want the lens to be scratched since it'll affect picture quality.

Unless you manage to do some ridiculous damage to it you're not going to notice any scratches except for if the sun hits it at a certain angle. Read this for more info http://www.lensrentals.com/blog/2008/10/front-element-scratches
The nexus 5 (or any phone's) sensor is much smaller no ?

Lord almighty, that lens is sure all kinds of f***ed up !! And the pics were only blurry abit.
But my question is.......would it matter the size of the sensor ? Since that was a DSLR lens/sensor and thus the sensor is too big to notice anything ? The nexus 5 (or any phone's) sensor is much smaller no ?
FazerDude: It would be interesting to know what people are upgrading from...
I'm upgrading from a Galaxy Nexus which is pretty much spot on 2 years old. I really loved the shape of the GNex - it was always easy to tell which way up it was in my pocket by feel - not so with the N5. Still it's a vast improvement and I love the boot time compared to the GNex.
nathan: Google Now, any ideas why it works on my US bought Nexus 7 but says "not available" on a NZ bought N5?
Though some features won't.
