Looks good. I can't wait to get my Sensation. I will stick to the stock setup and see how much I like Sense and if I like it I will look at flashing to this.

Looks pretty smoking. One question, does it have GPU UI Rendering? I think you can turn this on via a line in the build.prop but not entirely sure if that is how they have done it in other roms.

According to Android Guys, HTC have updated the progress on unlocking their bootloaders (for those whose bootloaders aren't unlocked as yet)...

"HTC tells us that they are making progress and that the goal of an August rollout is still in the cards. The first device will be the HTC Sensation, followed by T-Mobile's Sensation 4G and Sprint's EVO 3D.Devices will be continue to be shipped to consumers and retail partners in a locked state if only because of security and user experience. A user-initiated, web-based unlocking tool will be made available for for those "developers and enthusiasts" looking to unlock the bootloader. This tool will require users to register an account with HTC, waiving part/all of the device's warranty in the event something goes awry. From there, users will plug the phone into the Android SDK to retrieve an identifier token that gets entered into the web tool. This token will get you an unlock key that is entered into the device."

That's a bummer, as there's no way to restore your phone to stock and get warranty service since the unlocking process makes you agree to voiding the warranty, and your phone will be on a database of unlocked phones.

HTC giveth and HTC taketh away...

Galaxy S has gone to its new owner. HTC Sensation has gone to its new
owner. Galaxy S3 has gone to its new owner. Now using Galaxy Note 3. Skipping Note 4 I think...

No worries just use the revolutionary method and then you can put S-ON for warranty concerns

What USB mode does my phone need to be in to find my hboot through revolution?
I open revolution and it just keeps saying waiting for device
Do I need to be in debug? USB storage? Charge? HTC Sync?
I havnt installed HTC Sync on my PC could that be the reason?

Had a nice surprise waiting for me when I got home from Wellington today. My new Sensation was waiting for me to pick it up from the Post Office. I opened it up and plugged it in to the charger, thought it was funny that htere was no charging indicator light, waited about 5 minutes then decided to read the guides a found that you need to remove the plastic sheet from the battery first...doh. Funny thing is I had already removed the cover to insert my SIM card and did not notice the plastic. I got that sorted and then called Telecom to port my number from 2 Degrees and I was told that it would take up to 12 hours. Once the phone was charged I turned it on and found that my number was already changed...Yay. I had read about the big screen and still only able to add the normal amount of icons but did not think it was too bad, but now that I have seen it firsthand it does seem to be a waste of screen real estate. I will use Sense UI for a few more days then I will see if I want/need to change to a different launcher.

One other thing. Should I S-Off my phone now or wait for HTC Boot Loader Unlock?

I would S-OFF my phone using revolutionary as that way they cannot track you and you can change to S-ON if you have a warranty claim (assuming the phone is still functioning)

A couple weeks ago I posted here all the troubles I had with the Sensation. The supplier didnt want to know. Anyway an ota update became available and I updated the phone and it seemed to fix the problems. the update was 1.35.707.1. I can say now this really has done the trick and the phone is nice. In fact I like it more than the Samsung Galaxy S2 so think I will sell the samsung. On the samsung I can play 3 2 hour movies from fully charged to flat battery. The sensation I can play just over 2 2 hour movies from fully charged to flat. This however is not normal use. In every day normal use for me I have to charge samsung every night or it wont get through the next day. The Sensation I get 2 full days out of it.

HTPC Intel Pentium G3258 cpu, Gigabyte H97n-wifi motherboard, , 8GB DDR3 ram, onboard graphics. Hauppuage HVR 5500 tuner, Silverstone LC16M case, Windows 10 pro 64 bit using Nextpvr and Kodi

What experiences have people been having with alternative launchers on the Sensation? I found LP and Zeam to not run smoothly, not to worry as it has introduced me to Go Launcher which seems to really work nicely on the Sensation. The only problem I was having was the App drawer appeared to lag, more than I'd experienced on much lower spec'd devices.

This is probably because you can't disable Sense from running in the background. I think you either have to embrace Sense or unlock your phone so you can remove it.

Hmm I did think about that. Bit of a pain really. I have stuck with Sense through to now. Main reason I wanted to try others was to increase the screen real estate. More apps on the home screens.

Well if you do end up unlocking bootloader etc then there are some modified version of Sense on XDA that provide more real estate.
