Not sure here. Haven't installed it yet, just looking at the "Software update information" on the update notification.

Strange.

You've got G950FXXU1CRB7/G950FXNZ1CRAN/G950FXXU1CRAP

CRB7 is the firmware, CRAN is the CSC and CRAP the baseband.

Despite what I said above about being happy with my S8 on Nougat, I am a compulsive upgrader. So my S8 is now on Oreo. The only things I've noticed so far is the notification counters (which I had anyway on Apex Launcher) and an annoying pop-up telling me which apps were using battery (which I killed).
Smart unlock seems much more responsive, or maybe just placebo.
Keyboard is no better if the number of edits I had to do on this post is anything to go by!

Oreo is mainly under the hood improvements, I also did a hard reset after the update it's faster or it's in my mind

It's definitely got a real kick in the pants when it comes to speed, they did a good job of getting rid of the annoying stuttering and lagginess. It's not quite as good as the S9, but close enough that you couldn't really complain.

It was very noticeable during the beta with each new build they released. I re-flashed Nougat at one point after Oreo was officially released to make sure I wasn't going crazy.

@Dingbatt Definitely just as bad as ever. I feel the Samsung Keyboard took a massive step backwards when they released Nougat for the S7. It's a little bit better on the S9 but still not enough to stop me from using GBoard.

Hard reset after install. Let apps auto install via Google restore. First impressions is it feels a lot snappier around the OS, in and out of apps etc.

Slight negative. I couldn't get the 2FA texts during setup sign in and got locked out. Had to disable the 2FA via the laptop to continue the setup. Received texts as per usual after that so not sure what happened with the Google verification texts.

Sammobile have all the NZ Oreo updates there so won't be long before they are pushed through.

You can downliad and flash safely using Odin but the downliad speed is diabolical unless you pay

Samsung NZ is absolutely useless and don't care about rolling up-to date updates. My S8 still has CRB7 (Vodafone CSC), when rest of the world (mostly Europe) received 3 updates after that (CRC7, CRD7, CRED)... Tried to use British XEU, but it's missing Samsung's Caller ID and Spam protection.
