I had the same problem on my S3 this morning - came right around midday or so. I tried all the usual turn things off an on and restart etc - made no difference.

peter167: I am still contemplating buying a N5. I lost my phone the other week so I don’t have the luxury of time unfortunately. I would prefer a 32gb to the 16gb but if I bought it from the US or Aus then I would be waiting weeks and I kinda need a phone now (I feel so naked and vulnerable without a phone :p). Can someone please tell me how much available space they have on their 16gb? If it’s a reasonable amount of space then I will just go out and buy one.

Hi, I ordered my 32gb last Wednesday via Amazon and it arrived today.  Longest delay was DHL in Auckland.  It arrived in the country on Friday.

Yeah, mine came right yesterday afternoon.

Funny thing is, on my Nexus 7 push was working fine so I factory reset it and push stopped working.

Must have been a provisioning issue with "new" devices or something along those lines

Price gouging on the N5 not just restricted to NZ.

Check out what the cuzzies across the ditch are paying for the off contract N5 on Telstra AUD$700....WTF

do you guys have any news for me on getting the nexus 5 32gb? just here based in new zealand? I cant buy in australia nor US.. just here in NZ, i dont even know if becextech is actually selling the 32gb or if its still out of stock.. as I said 16 is too limiting for me, and Maybe! if you guys (well most of you already have the 16gb) can please enlighten me on how youre getting with the 16gb? is the storage limiting you?

Would this statement in the article be true though?

What's even worse is the fact that the updates for the device do not seem to be supplied by Google directly and will have to go through Telstra's testing process, which means customers may have to wait up to 90 days to receive a new update for Nexus 5

bryceknz: Sorry if this has been addressed earlier in the thread... Just received my N5 this morning (cleared straight through customs, wooh!). Before I'd done anything apart from setting the language and WiFi connection, it asked me to download+install a system update! Did everyone else get this on first boot or did it just come out today?

didnt ask me about update, i got N5 on 15-11-2013. i will check if google have update.

just got system check ....not need update anything for system.....system version still 4.4  version number:KRTI6M

i think you should ask 2degreescare  about later N5 system update, most people bought N5 from 2degrees shop or WHS.

Well my sync is back again, started working at around 7pm last night when it told me i had 15 emails.

I was planning to ring google this morning to see what was up, Would not mind so much if it was just a free gmail account but paying and not getting the push messages is a bit off.
but its working now so i can't really bitch

I do like the battery life on the nexus 5 however, the stand-by battery drain is great, 2.5 hours on and battery is still 98% (screen time 10 minutes)
that is with everything turned on (gps etc)

But unlike us they do have the option of buying it from the AU Play Store.  We don't, we just get price gouged..
