Mine lasted over a day with lots of youtube, facebook and downloading apps/synching for the initial setup. Pretty impressed with that. It asked for a recharge this evening.

good to see some battery results.

although they're a little meaningless just saying 'with medium use blah blah', your medium use could be an hour of interaction with the phone where someone elses medium use is 3 hours.

to be of use you really need the time off charger, the battery percentage and the screen time on value. screen time usually is the important value but if you're streaming a lot of music or running apps in the background it can make the screen time less relevant.

see the thread @ http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2509132

i havn't read everything yet but looks like just over 3 hours of screen time on might be what the average poster is getting. for comparison, similar posts in the note 3 forums are getting 6+ hours.

and not sure if it effected 4.4 but google play services went rouge last night/today and sucked a lot of battery juice by not allowing the phone to go to sleep, don't know if thats been fixed.

k14: Phone arrived this morning! So nice. Really happy. Bit strange getting used to no buttons on the front but will be ok in a few days. Only issues is that case and nano sim adaptor hasn't arrived yet! So only using it on wifi so far.

The N5 takes a micro-sim rather than a nano - so you'll need an adaptor.

I got a nano from work on Friday to fire up my new device then found out it wasn't a 4G one - so now I'm waiting for Telecom to send the 4G micro out.

Hence the reason why I ordered and am still waiting for my nano sim adaptor to arrive...

Loving the screen size. Only downside so far is that I can't reach the browser tabs button with my thumb in chrome. So have to hold the phone with two hands or use other hand when I want to do that.

Bought my adapter with WHS -$5 lol. Surprised to find them there.

ritzlal: Sigh. If only I knew these phones would be available in NZ so soon! Back when I got my first Nexus (HTC Nexus One), these phones were unheard of here so getting them from USA was the best option. I'm starting to realise that we actually have it pretty good here. Yes having the Google Play store access would be perfect but even then, it's not so bad. 2degrees have the phones at a decent price and there are heaps of options available through other means. I ordered my 32GB Nexus 5 from the USA Play Store minutes after release and I still haven't got it. It arrived in NZ on the 13th of this month but is still with customs. By the time I get it, it would have costed me about $650 anyway I think. Would have been easier to just buy one off Trademe.

Anyone else still waiting on customs? I'm wondering if I should give them a call now. Have been patient for too long. How can I get a customs number? I've only got a tracking reference. Thanks.

My order for 32GB version from Parallel Imported was cancelled.  They don't know when or even if they will receive any 32GB ones even though they were advertising them on their website for a while.

Would save yourself a lot of hassle if you just went with the 16GB one from WHS or 2degrees

There's no need for 32gb when photos get backed up automatically to google drive or dropbox, there's plenty of media streaming options so no need to use MP3's etc.

I used to have that mentality that I needed a phone with the largest amount possible and found I barely used any of it

Agreed. The only reason I can see people needing that much storage is if they play a ton of 3d games, in which case you'd probably be better off with a galaxy note 3 or similar

Well, I had a 16GB phone for the last 2 years, and I'm always running out of space on it :(
So now I said I will have to go for the 32GB ....

This is my usage on my n4 16gb, a full 5gb of the 'apps' data is stored music from GPM, aside from that the only thing that takes up major space are apps and photos- the photos are all backed up to dropbox/g+ so I could easily clear them if they became a problem. Then there's 2gb of 'cached data'. So unless you use your phone as a usb drive or install a ton of games I don't see the need for more.

Post a screenshot of your storage stats?

cache data you can clean it.turn off your phone and  Reboot your device into fastboot mode by pressing  the Power and Volume down buttons together and hold there to go in to fatboot mode
then push Volume up and down, then you will find recovery mode  push power button to entry , and you will see 4 option ~
1.reboot system now
2.apply update from ADM
3.wipe date/factory reset
4.wipe cache partiton

in my experience system said you can push Volume up and down to move cursor but you cant ,you only can move it down not up ~~when you push Volume down move cursor to wipe cache partiton, then push power button once and wait ~~~done deal :P
after wipe cache system back to recovery mode, cursor will be on "reboot system now"  this time, just push power button again to restart you N5 ~~~finish ! hope this will help~
