nakedmolerat: It looks like Huawei NZ has this phone on their NZ site.

Phone is carrier-unlocked with wide range band support for service providers worldwide. Check with your service provider for more information.

Thanks for the link. I guess that answers my own question is the discussion/owners thread regarding if we will get the 90 day Google play music trial.. Sadly looks like a no.

Kopkiwi: If it had OIS I'd be in with a grin.

OIS is really only useful for static subjects in low light, you get more out of a brighter lens and more sensitive sensor, which is what they opted to go with instead.

As I mentioned I won't be replying as there are too many coming in.

If you look at your Sent list and is marked as Read then you are in the list. I only easy these when back home in the evening.

freitasm: 11:34pm, everyone who sent a PM in the list - currently 76 people.

We probably "sold" more handsets on launch than some stores...

I was thinking of this as well. 76 people - that is almost $80,000++ in sales.

I sure hope they gave you something in return.

Good work Mauricio.

Should have asked the same percentage as Amazon aff links give to me ;)

I vote you get a free one :P

Just to clarify my assumption: The phone is carrier-unlocked even if we went with the pay monthly contract option? Or does it get unlocked at the end of the 24 month period once it's been paid off?

I want to be sure I can put in a travel SIM when I go overseas.

Hi Zemien

Yes you are correct, the Huawei Nexus 6P through 2degrees is unlocked and running stock Android with no modifications at all.

Cheers

And I have to add, I bought my Nexus 5 off 2 degrees back in 2013 and they were fantastic to deal with. Thanks to them too.

  • From November 2nd to November 29th the 10% discount for outright purchase and the $10 per month over 24 months discount will still apply but some other details of Pay Monthly plans will change.

(Emphasis mine). Can 2Degrees elaborate more on what will change with the Pay Monthly plans? I'd be gutted to lock into the contract Oct 30, then find out on the 15th that their $39 plan will now offer 2GB data cap.

They also don't lock you into a plan, as they're now all open term. But they do lock you into paying for the phone of course!

If you signed up to a higher plan, theoretically you could drop down a level, as long as it is the minimum plan level ($39)

This is a pretty cool offer! Nice work!

It doesn't say anywhere, unless I missed it - but is there a limit to how many I could buy?
I ask because I'd be looking at getting 2, one for me and one for my partner?
