ronw: No I am with Telecom and I just took the old card in and they swapped it. I imagine Vodafone well do the same as well and as far as I know they are these only two mobile operators offsetting 4G

peejayw: Umm,no. Damn,do I have to buy a new sim now?

All of Vodafone's SIMs should work just fine with 4G as long as a 4G plan is on them. The need to replace SIMs specifically for 4G is a Telecom-only thing, due to the way they implemented their 4G upgrade.

Vodafone stores will, of course, swap you out to a different-sized SIM free of charge if you're a current customer. :)

could someone who purchased the US version (i.e. from the US google play store) of the nexus 5 please do the following for me:

> type into the dialler: *#*#4636#*#*
> click the 'phone info' list entry on the window that shows up
> reply here with what's selected in the first drop down box on the 'phone info' window

(e.g. mine says: LTE/GSM auto (PRL))

i got a dirty boot loop (would instantly boot loop in recovery too) yesterday but managed to get the phone booting by removing the sim card, so just working through some diagnosis steps atm.

Anyone seeing 4.4.1 OTA yet ?

I'm supposed to respect my elders, but it's getting harder and harder for me to find one now.

Getting tired of hitting the check for update button. If I don't get it by tomorrow I'll probably sideload.

What are people using for their txt message notification sound? I find all of them too quiet, even if I turn up the sound to maximum. Any recommendations on other ring/message tone apps etc?

Ecstatic to hear that my 32s have been delivered to a family member finally (aus)

Shipping was all but 4 days which is always great, now comes the 'can you hurry up and fly over already' fun part

Worked out nicely, should have the OTA update nz released by then.

which shipping company did you use?
Aus post refused to post mine due to lithium ion battery inside the phone.
DHL asking around 80 dollars to ship it to nz

Edit: talking about shipping it from aus to nz

Hey mate,

Haven't gone the route of having it directly shipped to NZ as I didn't want the additional customs fees etc

Quite lucky in the sense that I have family coming over soon (whom I had it shipped to) with the phones.

Really unfortunate to hear that the post refused shipping. Had my own meltdown when my nz credit card caused my pre-order to be cancelled first time round.
