Still on 2.3.3, waiting on official/lite'ning rom maybe for 2.3.4. Getting pretty good battery life (rooted, various apps frozen, only turn wifi/3G on when I need it), but usually I idle at around 430mb of ram with everything shut down. Past few days that has dropped dramatically down to around 190-200mb idling. What gives? It's quite strange that it suddenly just happened.

Also, a question : If I just want my stock XWKE7 ROM back, is it just flashing it again via Odin like I did for litening?

In short, help!

1. V1.5 has bounce but not overscroll glow.

2. Only just realised this, hadn't tried skinning mine...

3. The page 2 comment refers to V1.0 or V1.1. It's no longer relevant. The triangle only indicates that the phone is using a non-stock kernel.
Your options are:
a. You can live with the triangle, it doesn't affect anything
b. You can use a usb jig to remove it (same as i9000 usb jig - google it). Costs about $13, several of us here have them if you want to borrow one. Handy to have if you like flashing roms.
c. You can flash a stock kernel to remove it. Not really recommended as this removes any kernel tweaks made by the developer. It will work though, and the phone will work fine.

4. Yes.

Edit: LitePro is currently working on V2.0 using the recently released 2.3.4.

Thanks K1000716, that was really helpful. In a day haven't noticed drastic batter or free RAM improvements, feels the same. But loving the look and feel of this ROM. The overscroll glow addition would have made it cooler though! Never mind!

Now in any case, if I have to flash back to stock, as you say its the same process via Odin, would I lose any data? I mean would it wipe the phone or do I have to reset it? Would lose root and all the other mods, that is fine. Just making sure its as easy as flashing any other ROM / litening ROM itself in this case!

I haven't tried it myself, but am pretty sure you'll keep all your media (photos, music etc), but will lose text messages and all your settings.

My battery drain is nowhere near that bad. Been getting a good 2.5 days out of it with average use. Will update if 2.3.4 improves it but I'm pretty happy with what I'm getting currently.

Don't try flashing the V1.5 Steel Blue theme onto V2.0. :) I just tried and it has caused boot looping. No problem, just reflashed and I'm all good again. The reason I tried is that many tweaks do seem to work between the various versions so I figured it was worth a try. It wasn't ;)

I'm only getting 10-14 hours on battery, but am a heavy user. Looking forward to NZTechFreak's review of the Momax battery. Sure it'll make it heavier and fatter, but I'd rather not be tied to a powerpoint each night.

If it isn't entirely different on the SGS1, then I have no sign whatsoever of the O/S bug on my vanilla JVP 2.3.4 ROM. 9:27:12 with 86% remaining.

That should give me around the usual 30-40 hours average use. So even given the SGS2's higher consumption, it would seem that 2.3.4 will give you the sort of endurance you would expect.

The Sensation runs 2.3.3 and is getting around 18 hours from charger to dead flat. lokhor's Sensation gets less though. Perhaps he can chime in with his experience.

But like I said, maybe the difference in hardware renders my experience moot.

owner. Galaxy S3 has gone to its new owner. Now using Galaxy Note 3. Skipping Note 4 I think...

Got the desktop battery charging stand, spare battery & car cradle this morning but still waiiting for the phone to arrive on Royal Mail...oh the anxiety!!!

Ditto - I even froze Skype because the latest version seems to have a persistent service that starts on reboot. . . .as I said, nothing that I can think of has changed in my setup of late - it just seems like the AOS bug has decided to make up for lost time and really thrash me!!

I was going to load Lite'ning 2.0, but LitePro is starting to mess with too many of the apps for my liking. Removing crap is one thing, but I don't like perfectly-working system apps being replaced. If I want to use SkyFire as a browser, I'll download and install it myself.

I think it's time to start looking at how to do ROM customisation...

LitePro removed the browser in v2.0, as it has been laggy in all deodexed roms. What else is has been messed with or is missing?

I installed the 2X Battery app yesterday and the AOS bug went nuts. Removed the app and it went away. Random...
