Oh so spark as still doing the "on account refund" which I guess they can do as the replacement phone has not be re-called by samsung yet. However you could also try the CGA if you have a replacement device saying that they have already had a chance to "fix" the issue.
i just rang Spark at Albany Mall and the guy said their site is wrong and they arent taking them back yet as there is only ONE case of a blown replacement note7 in the USA and to just keep on using the Note 7 as normal until told otherwise. they are waiting to hear from samsung on the next step.
i think he's wrong but ill play their game.

"Their website is wrong". Sure the salesperson in Albany knows all about the policies... It used to be they say customers had the wrong information, now they say even their own website have the wrong information.
@JasonParis, time to get those retail stores updated, again...

We can take back the replacement handsets back to the stores for other options
Vodafone's website just lists the Note 7 as 'Out of Stock' and if there are any warnings etc then they are well hidden - the home page is STILL dominated by the iPhone 7!

Saying it however, if they do offer a refund etc and you are with spark then I would do the following.
Get a refund for the note7 ($1600) then buy the s7 edge for $1200 get a free galaxy tab A 7 (value of $350) with a purchase of the s7 or s7 edge :)
Doing this you get $400 back + a tablet and if you did get the free phone from the first recall then you have gotten $700 worth of free products :)
Update: the tablet is 4g :)
OUT OF STOCK sign went up this morning! lol No tablets available is the official line!

iPhone 7 has been dominating all the Telcos' websites
i wonder how it would have been if the Note 7 issues didn't come up

VF more than Spark I think - you would believe they did nothing but sell iPhones based on their home page these past few weeks!!

This tells me they are hoping people will just exchange for s7 or s7 edge and samsung don't want to give away any more items.

S7 Edge is well discounted on VF.

FYI this is now on the Samsung (US) website:
Is it okay for me to continue using my Galaxy Note7?
No. If you own a Galaxy Note7, you should power it down and take advantage of the remedies available, including a full refund at your place of purchase. If you bought your Galaxy Note7 from Samsung.com or have questions, you should contact us at 1-844-365-6197 and we can help you.
Seems like a different (and more urgent) story than what the local telcos are telling people?
The Americans have a lot more at stake. And it is a VERY risk averse country.
If you have a new replacement Note 7 device, Samsung’s advice is to hold onto your device pending their investigation.
I won't have a knee jerk reaction, but will give the situation a couple of weeks to unfold before I start to panic lol
I spoke to a samsung service person and they said you need to power it off, but they have no remedies available for now, very hilarious.
The thing i find funny is that they say "turn them off, don't use them and hold on to it for now" but who has a spare phone lying around at home (apart from geeks and phone mad people). Yet you still expected to pay the bill when you don't have a device you can use through no fault of our own.

While I agree it sucks, I guess it's fortunate that quite a large number of the Note 7 owners who went in for the first recall took advantage of the free phone. I'm not saying it's ideal, but its a phone. It can make phone calls, have apps and do email, so should be able to tide most people over.
Those stuck without though who missed the first recall etc... yeah, well, not a great position to be in at all.
