There's a thread on XDA that says (and being XDA, I'd take it with a BIG grain of salt):
I was informed by oneplus
A6000 = hydrogen OS and bands for China, no Google play service
A6003 = oxygen everywhere else
Bands on Chinese version is different too
Noel's website says the 128gb is running oxygenOS

jonathan18: I’m sure I’ve read somewhere the switch from Hydrogen to Oxygen (and therefore native Play Store support) was straightforward. I thought this was in relation to the 6, but may not have been; however, I’d have thought the same would apply.

That said, I agree it would be totally remiss of NL to be selling a phone here that didn’t come with Play Store support out of the box...
Oh cool, sounds like it's pretty straightforward then - seems to be a lot of mis-information around (and apologies if I'm spreading it!). I'm also baffled with how several PI companies are selling a Silk White 64Gb variant, when I can't find any official evidence that this SKU even exists!
helicrew: Hi all
Grabbed one from pbtech here in Welly yesterday, love the phone!
One quick question, all the specs say that band 28 for lte is supported but at home I'm getting hspa+. I know my htc10 used to say 4g and that that term is bandied about a bit, but can you guys confirm the 6 does support lte here?

I can confirm that at least with the 5T changing from Hydrogen to Oxygen is a very simple process as i sourced a china domestic market version of 5T and converted to OXygen, its now running factory standard Oxygen and receiving OTA's no problem. Keep in mind 5T only came in one hardware config (other than ram and storage), which reading above might not be the case with a 6
Picked up from noel leeming on Friday. Im on vodafone and it shows 4G in my suburb. I've driven around today and see that it also switches between H+ and 3G in certain areas (mainly rural out by Clevedon).
NL has the A6000 model, but seems to be working across all bands. Came with Oxygen and play store as well.
d3Xt3r:
Whereabouts are you based and which provider do you use? I'm with Spark and based in town and I get LTE (4G+) on Band 3. Band 28 isn't used here in Wellington or any major cities (its only used in rural areas) so I can't confirm yet if it works in NZ (I don't see why it shouldn't though).
All sorted thanks, it's working great on 4G everywhere I've been :)

@Malingo: can you please confirm if NL is leaving the Dash cable in the box? Thanks.
Some1: So I've also got the OnePlus 6 from North leeming but they Samsung use wall adapter is kind dodgy so I'm going to get it replaced and is it just me or is the alert slider a bit loose?

My alert slider definitely has a bit of play in it, more than in the OnePlus 5 for sure. I find it more "clicky" and easier to use than the 5 though so I don't mind the looseness.
