Are you also on Spark or a different operator?
netspanner:Hello netspanner, Your DHL Express shipment with waybill number ******* from EXPANSYS requires an NZ Customs Client Code as the value exceeds $1000 NZD.
Thanks Guys. I am on Spark, and have had the phone for a few days so far. Totally loving it!! its really nice, and after my Pixel 2 the new tech around translations etc are amazing.
What would be awesome would be an English to Maori translation ability.
But heavier though.
I am using a speigen transparent case, which looks great with the lemongrass back, and a IBX?? glass protector for the screen. It came in a packet of 4, of which 2 were already broken.
All in all an addictive phone to have.

I'm so in love with mine also, and yeah - it's bloody heavy after an S20FE hahaha, but totally worth it. I have one of the official Onyx cases, but I have a Latercase coming for it which it Will live the rest of its days in.
I think my only niggle with it so far, is that outdoors in bright light the fingerprint scanner isn't 100% - especially on my thumbs (perhaps my handwashing ocd's fault lol)

I'm still waiting on Amazon. It's said "Arriving November 18th" for a while now, so I'll keep my fingers crossed. I know I'm just being impatient, but I'm jealous of everyone else having it already and wish I had friends in Aus instead of Canada ($799 Canadian remains stubbornly JUST over $1000 NZD).
I ended up cancelling my Amazon order and got it from MightyApe instead. The camera shutter noise on JP models never bothers me anyway :)
Can anyone see any difference between 60hz and 90hz? Under Developer settings turn on the Show hz setting and watch it flick between 60 and 90. It uses 90 when the screen is rerendering, and 60 when its static.
For the life of me I can't tell much difference, but maybe the whites are a tiny bit whiter and brighter? Or are my eyes just old.
I will do a poll of some younger people to see if they see it differently.

The Hz refers to the refresh rate, or how often the screen updates per second (60Hz = screen refreshes 60 times per second). With a static screen, you won't notice any difference between 60Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz, etc, because there's nothing to change. If you're watching something moving, like a video (recorded at a high enough fps), a game, or scrolling/swiping, a higher refresh rate will look smoother.
60Hz is about the practical limit that most human beings can perceive. People who are used to high-refresh monitors and high FPS gaming will definitely notice the difference between 60Hz and 90/120Hz.
I finally cancelled my Amazon order, as it was still cheerfully telling me it a pixel 7 was going to arrive by 8pm tomorrow, despite not having shipped it from the UK or even charged my card yet.
Heads up, though, as the black friday prices are up on the Canadian google store! $150 off the Pixel 7 ($649CA) and $300 off the 7 pro ($879CA). Even with local taxes and shipping from canada to NZ, that's under $900NZD all up. I can't wait!
Australia's store doesn't have discounts up yet, but they have a countdown. I'm sure they'll be comparable or better!

I have an aussie one, it's fine.

I bought my P7P off eBay for a much higher price. I like the white, especially with Casetify cases, and I couldn't settle for small storage sizes.
It has been a few weeks, and I am glad to say I love every bit of this phone. The only downer is the 5G, and VoLTE/VoWiFi support isn't available on Vodafone NZ.
Hopefully, Google can roll out support for NZ carriers and more countries if they want their phones taken more seriously.
Bit of an underwhelming Black Friday sale on the Google Store Australia. Everyone else gets a cash discount, whereas the Aussie Store gives you a $300 store credit for the 7 Pro and $250 for the 7. They also state that you need an Aussie google pay account to redeem the store credit (which also might arrive up to 4 weeks after the item you purchased has been dispatched)!

Certainly a bit underwhelming - useful if you were in Australia of course, as Google Store does do a price match (more of a price refund thing as you first buy it and then get the difference refunded after much waiting around on their chat line). That means you could get the $250 credit for the 7 as well as getting them to match the JBHIFI AUD$850 or Office Works AUD$837 price.
Obviously mostly useful if you had Google Store credit credit and an Australian friend :)
EDIT: Just checked, and someone on OzBargain has confirmed with Google Support that they will honour the black friday credit on top of refunding the price difference, so this would definitely be the best Australian deal at the moment.
