I'm hoping Plex and Netflix are quick to add the fit to screen option that Youtube has. Just looks awesome. Worth losing the sides for.

Played with S8+ in the flesh finally. Reiterating my earlier post, if Apple does not come out with an absolute Jesus phone I am trading in this iPhone 7+ and out of the walled garden for the first time since 2008...

That screen is amazing, and the form factor feels nicer in the hands.

Online allocation for the first shipment is goneburgers, some colours are still available to pre-order in store however.

Hoping to fire it back up online once stock is confirmed for wave two (available from May 5th).

Was just browsing for a dryer at the Wairau Harvey Norman, when I saw they had a sample S8 and S8+. Very empty store, more staff than customers, so you should be able to give it a good try.

when I got note 2 back in the day I made a cardboard cutout to see if my pockets could handle the size etc ....Never looked back for big phones.

Ordered the plus from my local Vodafone store as I hoped that by ordered in-store, the phone would be sent to the store for collection. However, I was told that the phone will be posted to be home address... which usually needs faffing about with NZ Post and their crazy "...you weren't in when we tried to deliver your package..." cards and the package is at the local post shop. Or, even worse NOT getting a card and then discovering the local post shop has had the package for a couple of days!

Still just back from PB Tech with a nice case and extra cables for my soon to be delivered new friend.

damn I pre-ordered the S8 from PB, just went to the JB hifi they had it on demo, now I want the S8+. it doesnt feel big in the hand at all! wonder if they will let me change the order and pay the difference

Yep, the team can do that - unless you want the Midnight Black S8+, which is sold out. Maple Gold and Orchid Grey still available. Drop them a line at websales@pbtech.co.nz if keen.

As a side note, when the fine folks from Samsung presented the S8 range this year, I could have sworn they called the new colour Awkward Grey and it gives me a chuckle every time I see it.
