I'm planning on purchasing a G3 soon, but wanted to be sure either way if the parallel imported models sold here in NZ support wireless charging. I'm planning on getting the 32GB model; the two cheapest places selling it (Just Wow and Mobile Station) are selling the D855 model, but I'm just not sure if this will always have the wireless charging back and their websites don't state it either way- does anyone know the answer to this? Thanks.

I have the G3 D855 32GB version and it does support wireless charging.

Thanks for confirming that; whereabouts did you purchase yours from?

One of those retailers (Mobile Station) said they can't guarantee it'll have it, as they've had one which didn't have the wireless charging.

I guess it's only a few bucks extra to get one of the adapters off eBay if it doesn't come with it...

I got mine from here. I really love the G3. I thought the screen would be too big but it isn't. That and the the other features - removable battery, wireless charging, knock code, powerful processor - make it feel like this is how a smartphone is supposed to feel. I would recommend buying a good case and glass screen protector as the phone's a bit slippery though I brought the white back cover for my black phone (Looks amazing - white back with black buttons) which isn't as slippery.

There are a couple of caveats with wireless charging. The G3 prefers the Lg dock charger which has a higher amp rating than standard QI wireless chargers. It can also be a bit tempermental with how you place the phone on the charger.

I would also recommend checking out the XDA forums. The bootlocker was just bypassed so there's a few new ROMs.
