I am going to apologise in advanbce. I have googled this issue but I am either not explaining correctly the issue I have or there is simply no way to do it. I will try and explain what I am looking for.

I have an android phone (Samsung note 4). I have about four or five pages of APP shortcuts and I would like to shift them from one page to another. I really don't want to do the traditional "finger drag" and direct swap method as it will take me all day and besides I dont get to see all icons on all pages. Is anyone aware of any software I can install on my PC to enable me to see all pages so I can drag and drop using my mouse?

Cheers all.

Plug in a USB OTG cable and plug a mouse in to your phone. Or use a capacitive stylus.

That is certainly a problem. The best way to avoid tedious 'finger work' is to get your butler to do it. You could try your wife's second maid if your butler is busy re-arranging your cook's app icons.

Maybe SideSync could do this. Allows you to screen share with a pc.

The SideSync app is available in the Galaxy Apps store.

AirDroid *might* be able to do what you want. Haven't used it for a long time now and your requirement wasn't something I ever had a need for, but could be worth a shot. It's in the Play store.

Blinky Bill - thanks for the advice. About as helpful as a catflap in an elephant house.

Is there no iTunes equivalent for Android? In iTunes you can see your iPhone/iPad and easily do it that way – is there a Google Play desktop app that allows you to do it?

Yeah - back in the days when I was using Iphones that would have been my first choice. Currently trying to install airdroid and apparently I already have an account with them so hopefully this may have been the software I used many years back too. Watch this space.

Sigh - same problem with airdroid. In fact I cannot even see a way how to drag and drop icons let alone see all available screens on my phone. Any other suggestions (I will ignore the buy an iphone suggestion). I like phones that keep me warm when they catch fire lol.

Yeah, you really are going to struggle with this one. Those apps that will allow you to do screen sharing, will by default only show you the physical screen of the device.

The multiple home screens and multiple apps screens are all dependant on the launcher that you are using and effectively are a virtual desktop. With so many launchers out there, trying to find one that can understand these virtual desktops is going to be difficult. Good luck

I think I have found a "next best thing". Folder Organiser. Categorise all your apps, create a widget (which allows for more apps per screen) and display the entire widget rather than individual app icons. Just figuring it out now.

TeamViewer is a proprietary computer software package for remote control, desktop sharing, online meetings, web conferencing and file transfer between computers.

Really?

@kapitikarl: TeamViewer is a proprietary computer software package for remote control ...

Yes, really. Previously, you could take over an Android phone just like you could take over a PC. On iPhones, the user has to do a screen shot for you to see what is currently displayed. My Android device currently only supports screen sharing, not control of the Android device.
