For a platform that's supposedly tightly tied to Google apps I find the Mail (both Google and HTC) clients somewhat a pain. For one I can't seem to do inline reply between quoted text, and no copy'n'paste support when viewing a message.

I have seen suggestions on the web of using gmail from a browser - doesn't sound awfully appealing to me. Is anyone out there using an alternative client?

Cheers,
D.

Late reply, sorry.  I've used the web interface and it's actually not bad at all - they've got it quite polished and it's quite snappy (it's a mobile version, not the full site). Copy/paste works fine.  I'm still not entirely happy with it, but I do occasionally use it over the GMail app.  Might try K-9 Mail.
