I think you will find there aren't many Windows CE software available around.

Note Windows CE *is not* Windows Mobile.

Far worse. There have been plenty of cheap Windows CE machines coming out of China for years. IMHO they're a total waste of money.

At least with Android you get a new OS and can install apps on it.

I haven't done it due to a lack of interest.....

The firmware is available at slatedroid.com

The one thing that made me think it might be useful is that in order to get Debian Linux installed on the M001, you need to launch it from a Windows CE install.

I'd try it except I have my M001 all set up the way I like it and there isn't - at present - a way to back up an existing system. When you flash a new one, it wipes everything.

It's there, but you can't see it in the Downloads section. If you go into the Eken M001 forums, there is a WinCE discussion area...and a thread there with links to the various versions.

Here is the link to v0.3b    (http://www.multiupload.com/C1Y1EZ6Q6A)

its works well, nice thing it uses my android phones wifi tether (ad-hoc) fine, good for surfing, gmail, etc, but as Mauricio says, not many other apps, but then you would buy a real Net-book, for me its fine as its bigger than a phone screen, quicker than the Android 1.6 releses out there.

BTW, i have it for sale ;O), check the Wanted/FS:
