Sadly the release date has now slipped to "to be confirmed", Clove hope it will be arriving early Nov, but it may well slip back toward the original projection of a mid-November release.

Call me wacky, but I could see myself using this as my day-to-day phone! I just don't mind larger devices too much... Need to know what the processor will be though, a Tegra II would mean I'd pass, but an overclocked Exynos would tempt me even more.

Also has a stylus, not sure if I would actually use it, but interesting nevertheless.

More deets here: http://www.samsungmobilepress.com/2011/09/01/Samsung-writes-the-next-chapter-of-the-mobile-industry-with-the-Samsung-GALAXY-Note

I think this bodes well for a Nexus Prime with a 720p display too, I think Samsung just need a little more time to miniaturise the display to the rumoured 4.5inches...

That's crazy big... it might just fit into my jeans back pocket!

The thing stopping me moving to an Android phone is texting... I txt my gf quite a bit and I really like a physical keyboard. Swype is good, but a keyboard's easier.

Looks like the SoC will indeed be the Exynos, confirmation of MHL will probably have me clicking "buy now" at the earliest possible opportunity! Only speculation on the Nexus Prime can hold me back!

Doubtful, they say they are only now talking to carriers etc, so I would think its a little bit away from availability. I will be insanely jealous if you do!

Its too big for most people, I readily accept that I'm on oddball for liking a device so large :)

Welp, it's not too big for me, but I'd never use a stylus so that's not a selling point.

The screen resolution is nice, but would be nicer at ~4.5" screen, so that's not a big selling point.

CPU, yeah, not bad, but realistically not all that much of a difference from my Galaxy S2. I'd have to see some reviews on real world difference before I could justify the swap.

Samsung has really released a serious batch of top shelf products at their IFA press event.

Yeah, the stylus does nothing for me I have to say, but the other things are good enough to tempt me. Naturally I'll need a hands on with it before making decisions about whether it can replace my SGSII, but certainly seems like it could.

That looks awesome, but I just wish they'd hurry up and put out a similarly spec'd version of the Galaxy Tab 7.     I don't think I could go smaller after using the 7 for so long.
