In my opinion the actual build of it doesnt look that nice, personally I like square edges not curved. Just my personal preference.

I must admit I like the HTC builds. It looks nicer and feels sturdier. Still, this is gonna be a beast!

myndlyz: http://thisismynext.com/2011/10/07/samsung-google-postpone-galaxy-nexus-launch/

a slightly bizarre announcement

my thought: when they saw the 'new' iphone4s, they decided to delay it as they know apple is still far behind  (i think android lifecycle is too short - i keep getting a new phone every 10 months or so!!)

The launch has delayed apparently to show respct to Steve Jobs. Plus all the leaked information I have seen says it will be a Verizon exclusive so not much use to us here. There will be either a big delay until it launches on GSM carriers or we will have to get a Samsung version complete with their custom UI.

Looks sexy. Just hope it is proper QUAD HSDPA so it will work on all NZ networks.

If it's a Verizon exclusive it  won't work on any NZ network.

i think there is a rumour that it will be designed as a world phone...

"We were also wondering if the rumors that there are to be two versions of the Nexus Prime actually turn out to be true. With the Verizon exclusivity in the US seeming pretty probable at this point, for Samsung and Google to release another, global, version of the phone seems highly likely too."

I hope so because I will be in the US in January and hope to get one to replace my aging N1.

im keen on the nexus prime to replace my SGS. the main appeal is the HD screen - being able to read web pages without constantly panning about will be a godsend. as will the extra RAM to load bloated pages

what bands / US carriers will work in NZ's XT wcdma 850 network? am i right in saying that AT&T and Sprint are the carriers that have frequencies that are compatible with XT here?

AT+T - 850/1900 UMTS
Verizon - CMDA/LTE
Sprint - They do appear to have a UMTS network but seem to be pushing 4G tech
T-Mobile - 1700/2100 UMTS

Best bet is easily AT+T but I heard the Prime will be Verizon exclusive?
