Right. But the limit of single files larger than 4GB still exists.

Sure, but in practice that isn't a problem for my use. When SoCs get good enough for Dolphin emulation it might matter to me more, since then I might want Wii ISOs on the card, but until then I'm fine.

It's probably a problem for most people wanting a card that size though. Virtually no HD movies will fit in that constraint and that's what I use my phone for. MHL adaptor and an HDMI cable for when I'm travelling with work to watch movies at hotels...

Well all my HD movies fit in that space constraint, I encode mine to come in at around 3.5gb and have no issues with the quality via MHL. If you want extremely high bitrate stuff then sure, but I suspect that even there that won't hold that true for much longer as mobile SoCs get better at 10-bit playback.

Approximately 0% of people bother encoding or re-encoding. Stuff you could download (legimately or otherwise) is often above 4Gb. But in any case, as you point out, works fine for your use case - I was just pointing out that most people aren't necessarily as controlled in their use case as you..

Yeah just got an el cheapo from TM for now until the spigen arrives.

Im off to try to get the Note 4 today, fingers crossed, but i have issues with my contract renewal date.

Ive ordered 2 Spigen cases too, but checked & theyve not been shipped! argh
I got one of these for my Note 2, they are awesome cases! Nice n thick & feel so robust!

CASES for my note 3 and my S3 before that I found an iface case which was the best protections in general for the phone but particularly for the side edges of the phones. It was cheap got mine in NZ. Had heaps of remarks from vodafone satff on how good it is when I have been instore and them asking where I got it from. Too many cases IMO leave the edges exposed and if dropped tehy dent and mark. I am wanting a similar one again

I can confirm none of the usual places in Auckland Queens St have Note4 cases in, at all!

PBTech has screen protectors (Saumsung ones) for 15$

CoolMobile is supposed to be getting cases Tuesday.

Didn't want to do it, but bought an S View Cover from the Samsung site last night. The dark one is on special for $33!

Not really liking the look, but the new features compared to the Note 3 S View Cover are pretty useful.

I want a leather wallet style case just because:

- The phone is shiny and slippery.
- Don't want to carry both a wallet and a phone.

Firmware upgrade available for anyone who hasn't yet connected their Note 4 to the violation that is Kies. (I have the Voda version). I assume this is the battery update that was mentioned on the web, but I have yet to check build numbers.

If anyone is doing a firmware update via a laptop, FYI the update will survive the laptop going into hibernate due to no battery, and then resuming. Just carried on.. phew!
I don't know what the people that understand this stuff need to know, but I now have:

I remember this on an s4. Try turning off auto rotation, going in to settings, device, input, motion and gestures and select the calibrate option, then turn auto rotate on again. Worth a shot.

Sorry just deleted the comment as I seemed to have fixed it!

I cleared the cache (I think), I held down the volume down button while booting up, it started in safe mode and rotation seemed to work so I restarted and all is well.

Any ideas what might have caused it? Not a major deal to keep doing if it reoccurs, but it would be annoying...
