Just moved into a new place and planning on getting My SKY HDI installed this weekend.
I've noticed that the rental unit I'm in already has a Dish on the roof, and cabling poking out of the wall. My problem is that the existing cabling is in a really bad location and not near where I've got my TV set up.
At the moment I'd have to run the cabling either under the carpet, or along the skirting boards over 2 door frames and then over to the other side of the lounge where the TV is. It's probably not going to look very good, not to mention possibly damage the carpet since those Coax cables are quite bulky.
I really need the cabling to come through on the other side of the lounge wall. My concern there is that it won't be possible to bring the cabling down from the roof at a different location and get it to that side of the room since I live in a block of 4 Units and they're all side by side.
There's an excellent spot to bring the cables out from near front of the unit near the window, but not sure if they'd be able to get them there ...
Do you reckon the installer will be able to work something out, or will they just leave the existing cabling there?
Thoughts?
