soho is actually playing some new stuff (thought most of their stuff would be behind) season 6 of dexter starts tonight (US is up to episode 7).  Michael C Hall (aka dexter) was on the rock radio station this morning, in nz advertising the show.

will be keeping soho after november now, its actually pretty good. $10 a month is nothing for good dramas.

Dexter...?

Isn't that the labrador that used to be on Tux Wonderdogs. I thought he passed on.. (RIP).. Smile

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

+1. I may have heard it incorrectly but last night I thought I heard them say "free until the end of December" in a promo.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Loving Soho and will definitely be subscribing to this channel full time. Really looking forward to Dexter tonight.

Soho is free for current sky subscribers to the end of November but free for new Sky subscribers until the end of December

I probably will too, for at least Dec-Jan and see how it goes from there. Price is good, lineup is good, and loving the absence of ad breaks. Being able to get into a watching a serious drama without some demented voice screaming at me to "GO HARVEY, GO!" at double volume every 6 minutes makes the whole experience worthwhile.

On the downside, Sky seem to be persisting with the little distracting annoyances that make the whole experience less pleasant. If they really want me to keep paying extra, I wish they would stop:
- flashing the little twirling "available on mysky" logo on screen a couple of times each episode
- plastering the "coming up  next" banner across the bottom of the screen while the programme is still playing
- the loud promo voiceovers at the end of each episode, as the credits start to roll.

That unpleasantness is expected on crappy free to air channels, where you aren't the customer but the product, but is unnecessary on premium channels they expect me to pay for. After over a year of saturation bombing from Sky I know what a MySky is, and I have a skywatch and an EPG so I already know what is coming up next.

Save the ads for between episodes, and drop the other gratuitous interruptions while I'm watching, and I will happily pony up dollars and subscribe on an ongoing basis.

yeah the little mysky logo is a tad annoying, but loving the fact there are no ads during episodes.

I will definitely be getting Soho and I am thinking of dropping Sky movies also.

I have already seen most movies before they even start screening on Sky and struggle to find 3 or 4 movies on sky that I haven't seen and want to watch.
