I got the Basic + Sports + HD for $49.
The Movie package did not interest me.

r055b: This thread is making me furious.

I'm paying $92.51 for Basic+MySky+Sport (no HD ticket) almost double the telemarketer's prices. After RWC I'll cancel for 2 months and try re-sign with the better deal or ditch Sky altogether.


I'm with you. 

I am also feeling quite unloved by Sky TV right now...

Paying the same as you, but with the HD ticket thrown in as well, so over $100 a month to skip through most of their channels and find nothing worth watching, only to have access to sport and on-demand movies and recording etc, through My Sky+

I'd love to have someone call me and offer a good deal if I cancelled my sky account...

Update

My latest Sky bill went from 48.07 to 136.09 as my 12 month promotion period is up. I phone sky to cancel and ended up talking to one of the reps and agreed to the following deal.
I had just aded the HD ticket to my deal so that put me up to 58.00 per month.
For 58.00 per month I get to keep the MYSKI+ box, HD ticket, basic and sports for the next three months. They will ring me in two months to see what I want to do at the end of the three month deal.
I dropped the movies because I actually never watched them as I have netflix (pointing at the USA thanks to dns4me)
So still reasonably happy at the moment.

Where and how please?

Ideally I'm after sky base, sports, HD, for as little as possible wink

Don't need mysky, but assume that's still a prerequisite to get the HD ticket?

Just got off the phone to Vivian.

Basic, Sports, MySky+ and HD ticket. $49

6 months contract, fixed price for 12 months.
5 days cooling off period from date of install.

Guy round on Friday to hook me up.
Pay the installer there and then, cash, cheque or CC

Easy!

I had the $29 installed last week. The rep told me he's not allowed to advertise his number, but said referrals are ok (go figure)

I guess if you text him and say a friend passed his number on its just as good as a referral.

His number was o2one oeight8 two2one4eight

Just make up a name when he asks who referred you.

Posted in the other thread but got installed today. Turns out the flat already had a sky dish and a cable sticking out of the floor in the lounge so only took 20-25 mins for the guy to do his paperwork and plug in the My Sky+ box.

Basic + Sport + Movies + HD + 1TB MYSKY+ = $59.22/month.. happy as larry.

Really isn't often you come across a deal like this anywhere in NZ.
