SkyNZ:

siva992: Y'all should just go back to the old box at this time. And those who bought it, I feel ya. I mean, just how long more are you gonna "give this a go"?

Hi there, we'd like to look into this further for you. Could you please send us a PM on our Facebook page and a customer care member we'll be in-touch - https://www.facebook.com/skynewzealand/

Hi @SkyNZ my enjoyment of the Warriors game was greatly diminished due to the inability of the new Skybox to switch to alternative audio (Fox commentary) the SKY/NZ? commentary wasn't up to scratch additionally muting the audience noise further worsens the experience, really makes it obvious the commentators aren't at the game and affects the overall experience of feeling like you are (not) at the game.  Im sure others would've felt the same with the new Skybox..

Hi @SkyNZ I thank SKY NZ for providing the alternate Fox commentary on the Warriors semi final. Not to rub salt in the wounds of @JaBZ but he is correct the NZ commentary is WOEFUL and its great to be given the option of alternate commentary. Would be great if SkyGo could also have an option for alternate audio...

@JaBZ sorry it doesn't work on the new box, would seem simple seeing the old box has it.

I still have the old box (phew!) and I also enjoyed the more "professional" commentary from our Australian friends. The NZ Glen Larmer/Monty Betham commentary left a lot to be desired.

I know the much loved "sky deals" thread was closed a while back just wanted to pop up a post for any Satellite customers out of contract.

My 25% discount ended this month, I called the 0800 number and told them the situation and was put through to the fantastic customer care team. Ive re-signed another 12 months at 20% discount. So you can get there if you ask. Fibre Pro, Sky starter, Sky Sport and Mysky for $146.23 a month

Fast forwarding on the pod is a much better experience today. I've posted before about how slow and frustrating it is but seeing a big improvement now. Don't know if it's been actively fixed in the latest update as haven't seen any comments on it or just been a good day but hope it stays like this now. Watched the morning session of the Ryder Cup golf last night and wanted to watch the afternoon session when I got up this morning which meant having to fast forward about 5 hours though the programme. It did this within a couple of minutes which is significantly quicker than its been before so hope this is the new norm.

Since they fixed the issue causing occasional recordings to be recorded as several "partial recordings", I have been having an issue with some recordings, mainly the TVNZ 6pm news.

A few minutes into replay, the picture goes black for a few seconds, and it then resumes playing from around five seconds prior to the black screen. I'm guessing that the box is stitching together the two recordings.

Is anyone else having this happen?

That has happened for me since day one with the new skybox, seems to be only live shows (for me it is the tennis).

Oooooh, you're right! It's happening when we play the recording before the programme has finished recording. I wonder if it's happening at the time when the recording stops. I must pay attention. But unlike your experience, this is recent for us - since the "we've fixed a lot of stuff, says Sky" update.

I have since proved to myself that the replay hiccup I was referring to, happens when the recording finishes, if you start watching it when it is still recording. It happens every night at 7-05pm, exactly when the TVNZ News recording event stops.

Has anyone actually used a Sofabaton remote with a Sky Pod?

My Logitech Harmony is nearly dead and doesn't work with it anyway so I'm eyeing up a Sofabaton U2 as a replacement.

I’ve got a weird issue on sky go on my iOS device where I get closed captions but can’t find a way to turn them off. Any ideas?
