tdgeek:
I just got a notification from the Sky TV app on my devices
Testing 1-50pm
Strange, and interesting, summit is afoot.
They are spying on us
Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.
We're into June now, still no news?
So chatting to the sky tech setting up my new box this morning, and apparently they have to send back all their boxes at the end of the month. They are assuming that the new box/puck is coming out instead
Would fit with the channel changes etc that are coming online on the 1st August

for those who care, an excerpt from article
Sky Boss says this about FanPass
"The problem is that we've got 12 channels and our affiliate partners on Sky Sport. We put four onto Fanpass.
"Then we say, 'You can only have it on two devices.'
"Then we say, 'You can't cast it to a big screen.' (A feature blocked on the cheaper mobile version of Fan Pass.)
"And if all that hasn't been enough to put you off buying it, we make it $99 [a month]."

Is there a new STB coming out maybe?
I hope the puck solution works well - I'm hanging out for it due to the less-than-ideal situation were are in here with the current STB.
Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Maybe, and me too. I hope the puck is a one off purchase and can be used in addition to the STB. Or replace STB
Waiting with baited breath
The other day I had an issue where I ran out of space on my STB. Was my own fault I knew it was coming up an issue and forgot. As a result it recorded only the first 20 minutes of a game I desperately wanted to watch but on demand didn't have it, no replays were showing for 2 hours and in the end I loaded up Kayo. I am really hoping Sky going forward, will address this. I am also wondering, if you have 2 TV's in the house you want to watch Sky on, will you need 2 pucks? Presumably, if they aren't making android TV apps, then I guess so.. .

Sky Multiroom is currently +$25/month. I can't imagine that they will want to give that up when the puck comes out.

Cant be many with that now? They gave up HD fee, Rugby fee. Sky Go, which works rather well now and rather sharper, has a lot of channels
He isnt afraid to criticise his company, and I expect him to fix it which is basically price and features
Well, then they are in for a rude shock, because no *way* are they getting another $25 a month so I can watch the same stream in a different room.
This year, unlike any other, my desire to be able to watch sport differently has come to the fore. All other companies have cottoned on to the fact, and if Sky don't adjust, it will be the end of my relationship with them. I have been a long time supporter, subscriber and defender, and I still think their offering is unmatched in the market in many ways, however, if I want to watch a match at the office or in another room, then I'll be pretty frustrated if I can't.
I queried Sky on Twitter about a new STB (IPTV based) coming, they are not denying its coming but said to keep an eye on their social media for announcements.
