DHCP was a typo, it should have been HDCP.

Jaycar make no mention of their device stripping HDCP, but if it does it's understandable why they're not promoting it as doing that. Bypassing TPM's is illegal in NZ and HDCP is classed as a TPM. The only exception to the TPM rules is the use of regional zoning (ie you can break a TPM enforcing zoning), and an excemption for libraries.

Dunnersfella: Or... the MySky box is linked to another TV, (other than the main one) via component cables.
Many people still believe that component still = HD.
I'm picking there's more than a few people who are currently disappointed with their setup.

That's how I have my setup to the downstairs bedroom.
All channels are in 1080i except for the FTA ones via component.

Mine goes skybox - HDPVR - loop out to component over cat6 to the bedroom

I don't have movies, and don't watch FTA live (nextpvr) so downsampling is not really an issue for me, and I still get to watch the overnight footy in HD.

I've tried the monoprice HDMI to Component converter, and while it worked, the picture could only be 720p to the HDPVR, and it was shifted to the left by 100 pixels.
