Yep. It is still standard practice. So no point in complaining people just get on with it. Strangely enough if you buy or rent movies on iTunes there are different prices for SD and HD too.

I didn't us a NZ Sub and don't find it limited.. Way better than Netflix US..

Depends on what you want. I signed up last month for My Sky + Basic + Sports + HD ticket for $50. The gist of the deal is it is $39.95 for My Sky + one premium packages (Sport or Movies or Rialto or Soho or Arts, etc..) for $49.95 if you want two premium channels. If you want HD ticket, it's $9.95 more per month. Minimum 6 months contract (ETF is the full monthly price), prices are locked in for 12 months, no installation fee. Standard install, domestic prices only.. Cannot have been a Sky subscriber in the past 30 days. To signup call 0800 4SKYTV, which is a telesales team, not part of Sky TV directly.

Yep. Bottom line is Basic and premium and HD is $49-95. Great deal.
