How long do you get this pricing before they want to hike the rate?

And, at that time, can you walk away without penalty?

Minimum term is 6 months. If you leave before then, the early termination charge is 100% of the monthly fee for the six months.

The price is locked in for 12 months, after which standard full rates apply. Nothing stops you from having a one months break from Sky and then signing up to the deal again (assuming it is still offered at that time).

Nope. There is no secret code word ;-) That's all they do. Just ask. They will tell you all about it.

Just to be super clear about this, what's the minimum stand down time required between cancelling and then reapplying for this deal?

I had it last year, it was awesome, I want again but am unsure as to how long I have to wait...

Damn, that's way shorter than I was thinking.

Thanks.

If you use the "view answer" button I'm pretty sure all the details there are still current - including pricing and cancellation.

Just be aware that the 30 days starts after you have taken the Sky Box back and that they require 30 days notice of cancellation before that.

That is correct. Sky's standard T&Cs state you need to give them 30 days notice, so if you do intend to cancel them for 30 days to retake up the offer, you need to call them just before your last month starts. Take the box back on your 12 month anniversary and you'll still only be 30 days (plus installation time) without Sky.

Thirty days.

Honestly, I think it depends who you talk to. Others have said they got told 3 months. When I rung up 3 weeks or so ago I got told 2 months, and now people are saying 1 month.

Depends who you talk to I think?

Or order it on a different name. "flatmate has got rid of sky since their deal ran out, I want to get it in my room since I miss it"

AFAIK 30 days is the Sky deal number, that is not Sky they are telemarketers of sorts. If you call Sky and get their latest deal, its 3 months. Their deal is similar but not as good. I'd say 2 months is CSR error

The information in the answer is correct.

Feel free to ring 0800 4 SKY TV (0800 475 988) yourself to check.

Does anyone know what happens when a tech doesn't show up for an install or shows up when homeowner not at home?

Was supposed to have an multiroom install done this arvo. Neighbours reckons tech showed up around 10.30 am and no one at home.

I'm not panicking though.

My install experience will be back somewhere in this document.

It was pretty crap really. All good once sorted but that initial handover between the deal telemarketing company and sky tech was poor.

Just keep ringing back to make sure it happens.
