No. That's the purpose of it, plus if you dont have Sky Sport but you have Sky you must be able to get it. I have Sky Sport so not eligible for Fanpass (obviously), but they still send me these emails for some reason, hence my post

Just got an email from Sky advising that they are unlocking all channels to which we don't subscribe for the period from 6am 24 December until 7 January 2019.  So things like Movies, Entertainment, Sports, SoHo, Rialto etc.  On Sky Go too.

Like all content, one persons boring (reality tv, documentaries) might be another persons interesting (reality tv, documentaries) 

My first thought was I got a scam email mirroring Sky’s site to capture my CC details... Because I can’t complain about this deal! I love T20 so will be giving this a hoon.

I also got the email from Sky and read the "Sky direct" fine print. If I don't get the free channels, I will be rather annoyed. A marketing fail as far as I am concerned...

Beavis: I call it a marketing fail because 90% of people don’t read the fine print. They just see the headline, and they will be annoyed if it doesn’t happen. Why send the email if it doesn’t apply to me? They must know that.

Inability for people to read the fine print cant be put on anyone but the reader.  

Maybe they sent it to you cos they want you to move to being a direct customer.  I'll admit that if this was their intention then it would be marketed as such - "switch across to us and get 2 weeks of all channel access".  But semantics.
