JPNZ:

Finally got this sorted tonight. Brilliant customer service on the phone. Got the 12 months of sport free! Have gone from paying $170 a month for naked unlimited fibre, sky and sports to $113 a month for starter and sport and naked unlimited fibre.

Now lets see what the wait for VF TV delivery is

Wow, got the STB all is well, I knew the customer service was going to well... The rigmarole in getting the Vodafone TV app to work is up there with the worst customer service I think Ive ever had in the tech sector.

When you signup you get an email stating you can now watch VF TV on your device, no login, no password no details except for an account number. Then you download the app and try use it with no details because you can't use the acc number in the email...

Call VF 7 times now, go through 5 password resets and every time I get a one use pass, login and change to new password screen it bumps me out and says this service is not avaliable for your subscription...

WTF Vodafone seriously! Still waiting on CS. Why not just send a standard username and one off pass in an email when joining. Nightmare!

Can I escalate my call...?

Sure, someone will call you back in 2-3 days. What sort of business is this?

Ended up sorting it myself, problems with customer migration that VF is experiencing at the moment. App is good though!

Hi @JPNZ,

Apologies for your app setup experience.  We're in the process of changing all our account management and billing over to one system and your desired experience (a simple email with all the login details required) is what should be happening.  We're in the process of sorting this out asap, should be fixed soon (if not already overnight).

Hi Hamish, yea it was less than ordinary experience. The fact that I already had a VF Mobile account and a My VF login, I was never sent a Email with login details and only calling the call centre I was told what my VF generated username was. I didn't even end up using it as my VF TV app ended up working with my mobile my vodafone login even though they said it wouldn't...

Messy from start to finish. Never got a call or email when switching to say what I should do with my Sky box either (I returned it on my own accord) then a sky field agent called me today asking where my box was. The whole thing has a LOT to be improved on

I can confirm i just spoke with Andy and he offered me a solid deal

12 Months Sky Starter/Entertainment (min 6 months)
Sports
My Sky
Hd (included anyway)
12 months Soho (For GOT)

$48.99

If you cancel if going through him after your finished its only 60 day stand down from initiating cancellation rather than 90 days

This is prob the best deal iv recieved and he is a very pleasant chap to deal with highly recommend.. i was getting sick of using Kayo + VPN which costs nearly the same anyway. Probably $10 difference

His details are below (hes been with Sky for 25 years)

Andy Purcell
027 - 473 - 3325
0800 759 489 (0800 SkyGuy)

Nice deal, but I thought Soho was free when you have Entertainment + Sport/Movies ?

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

It is but still a good deal, approx normal costs: Sky starter & Entertainment Around $50, Sport $30, and MySky recording $15, SoHo Free.

So getting what would approx cost $95 for under $50. I'm assumimg the MySky part of offer includes recording.

In that case all good. Privacy is a big deal these days, but if he said that, all good.

I just signed up with Andy for the same deal. Very quick and painless. Seems very good to deal with.

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.
