In Christchurch we got this letterbox drop. Any ideas what they're offering?

We currently have Vodafone cable with sky channels (via the legacy recorder / TBox )

tcabw:

As most will know, Vodafone do not offer Soho free of charge with Sky Entertainment and Sport, as do Sky for direct customers.

The entertainment package on the new gen Vodafone TV does include SoHo it seems

@Yabanize is correct: the new Gen2 Vodafone TV service does include SoHo for no extra charge when you buy the Entertainment package along with Sports or Movies.   There's also the same discount structure as offered by Sky on the Hindi channels.  Wherever possible the new Vodafone TV currently matches Sky's pricing with the one exception being there's no MySky charge on Vodafone TV (as the service includes 500 hours of cloud recording storage at no additional cost).

I gave up in the end.......

The Missus has so much stuff recorded, but not watched on the Mysky that she was not happy to changeover to the Vodafone box. Anything worth watching on Soho, I record at my holiday home using Remote record which is a useful tool. One day when Sky loses enough customers, they might offer the Mysky recorder free (for longer than the 3 months currently on offer) at which time I'll consider switching direct to Sky while retaining the existing recorder.

cheers

Just confirming Andy is still the man.

It's basic, mysky and one add-on for $39 or two add-ons for $48. If you want sport, movies and entertainment the third add-on is at full price.

Sky are on Grabone today offering 50% off for 12 months, I'm under the impression you build your channel package up then its discounted for 12 months (I can't see anything in the fine print to say otherwise)

Yes I saw that two, For the options I was looking at If I calculated correctly, it's about $1.50 per month cheaper to use the deal posted here.

That's very good, I've actually just bought that. Less than 40c a day for all the sports channels.

I just canned my sky sub for good.

Have been with them for over 10 years and had a few extension deals from them but I just don’t think they treat loyal customers well.

The last deal they offered me was that I could continue to rent their equipment for $19.99 per month after they switch off the sky feed.

I don’t think they get it..

Just bought a Vodafone tv box and got a voucher for neon for 3 months. Might give it a go. Have to say I’m quite impressed with the quality of image on the key channels on the VTV box.

... and gone in a day, damn it!

I'd be happy to pay that for Neon (cruddy sound means I'm not willing to pay the price on the box), so hopefully this will come up again.

I'd anyone sees the offer repeated could they please post it here? Will now subscribe to alerts...

I was cold called last night by Sky. I cancelled my subscription in September. They offered me a 12 month contract, including sky starter and sky sport for $28 a month. Mysky is an additional $15 a month. Told him to call me back next week after I can have a think about it.

Pretty good deal if you ask me!

I cancelled sky yesterday, had been a customer for 12 years and never had any deals in that time.

First they offered me a 25% discount for 12 months.

Then 50% discount for 6 months on a 12 month contract (that's the same as above!)

I'd only kept Sky for so long as I'd paid $600 for Mysky back in 2007 so that worked out quite a good deal for 12 years. I like MySky, but it's too old and slow now. Not worth the premium price.

I got the Grabone deal for Sky Sports Now now for $40 for 4 months.

I feel liberated, so long MySky.
